NARRATIVE REPORT ON ADOPT A CHILD 2019-2020

Many parents have lost income during the coronavirus pandemic.

Nearly one-third of students have experienced food insecurity since the beginning
of the coronavirus pandemic.

As the Faculty Club Organization wants to give love in the

Christmas season, it initiated to have Adopt A Child Program that was held at the
school AVR last December 7-8, 2020. It is aimed to provide relief for families
affected by the COVID-19 lockdown. The project was collaborated by the Rotary
Club.

Adopt a Child Program focuses on the individual learner’s

circumstances that hinder him from moving forward be it financial, emotional or
behavioral. It is the baby of the Adopt-a - School Program(ASP) of the
Department of Education.

“Bundle of Joy” consists of a few kilos of rice, canned sardines,

instant noodles, sachets of instant coffee, powdered milk, eggs, cocoa powder
(MILO) and some biscuits. They were given to the selected students of Punta
Princesa Night High School.

Upon entering the school campus, everyone is required to wear face

shield on top of face mask and body temperature should be checked. Hence
minors were still not allowed to go out, parents and guardians were the ones who
claimed the relief packs.

“We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone.”
