WEATHER FORECAST FOR 25th JUNE 2019

Showers will occur at times in Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara and Kaluthara
districts.
Several spells of showers will occur in North-western province and in Colombo, Gampaha and Hambanthota
districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Badulla, Batticaloa and Ampara districts after 2.00
p.m.
Fairly strong gusty winds up to 40kmph are likely in North-central and North-western provinces and in
Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to
take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.

තරමක්කව තද සුළං ඇති ඇති විය හැක.
ගිගුරුම් සහිත වැසි ඇති වන විට එම ප්‍රවශවවල තාවකාලිකව තද සුළං ඇති විය හැක. අකුණාණු මඟින් සිදුවන අනතුරු අවම කර
ගැනීමට අවවය පියවර ගන්නා වලස ජනතාවවගන් කාරුණිකව ඉල්ලා සිටිනු ලැවේ.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR SEA AREAS AROUND THE ISLAND DURING

NEXT 24 HOURS (Issued at 05.30 a.m. on 25th June 2019)

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the sea area off the coast extending from Puttalam to
Hambantota via Colombo and Galle and in the sea area off the coast extending from Kankasanturai to
Trincomalee via Mullaitivu.
Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be (40-50) kmph in the sea areas off the coast extending from
Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota. Wind speed will be (30-40) kmph in the other sea areas around the island
The sea area off the coast extending from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be rough to very rough at
times as the wind speed can increase up to 60 kmph.
The sea areas extending from Negombo to Kankasanturai via Puttalam and Mannar can be fairly rough at times
as the wind speed can increase up to 50 kmph.

Naval and fishing communities are requested to be vigilant in this regards.

කන්කසන්තුරවේ සිට මුලතිවු හරහා ත්‍රිකුණානාමලය දක්කවවා වවරළට ඔේවබන් වන මුහුදු ප්‍රවශවවල තැනින් තැන වැසි වහෝ
ගිගුරුම් සහිත වැසි ඇතිවේ.
දිවයින වටා මුහුදු ප්‍රවශවවල සුළං නිරිත වදසින් හමන අතර මාතර සිට හම්බන්වතොට හරහා වපොතුවිල් දක්කවවා වවරළට
ඔේවබන් වන මුහුදු ප්‍රවශවවල සුළවේ වේගය පැ.කි.මී. (40-50) පමම වේ. වසසු මුහුදු ප්‍රවශවවල සුළවේ වේගය
පැ.කි.මී. (30-40) පමම වේ.
මාතර සිට හම්බන්වතොට හරහා වපොතුවිල් දක්කවවා වවරළට ඔේවබන් වන මුහුදු ප්‍රවශවවල සුළවේ වේගය විටින් විට
පැ.කි.මී. 60 දක්කවවා වැඩි විය හැකි අතර වමම මුහුදු ප්‍රවශව විටින් විට රළු වහෝ ඉතා රළු වේ.
මීගමුව සිට පුත්තලම සහ මන්නාරම හරහා කන්කසන්තුරය දක්කවවා වවරළට ඔේවබන් වන මුහුදු ප්‍රවශවවල සුළවේ වේගය
විටින් විට පැ.කි.මී. 50 දක්කවවා වැඩි විය හැකි අතර වමම මුහුදු ප්‍රවශව විටින් විට තරමක්කව රළු වේ.
ධීවර සහ නාවුක ප්‍රජාව වම් පිලිබදව ඉතා අවධ්‍ානවයන් කටුතතු කරන වලස ඉල්ලා සිටිනු ලැවේ.
