A DAY OF FORMATION FOR READERS OF THE WORD- Will be held at Hinsley Hall on Sat. 13th July, from 10am-
1pm, in preparation for the Year of Scripture, 2020. We will discuss the nature and meaning of Scripture, and
how to best proclaim God’s Word at Mass (with practical exercises). For more information, or to confirm a

MASS FOR THE FEAST OF ST BENEDICT AT FOUNTAINS ABBEY: 12:00 Noon on Thursday 11th July 2019 in the
Cellarium of Fountains Abbey. Entry is via The Visitor’s Centre where there is ample parking; a shuttle bus is
available for those who find the walk too much. Disabled access is via the West Gate where all parking is
reserved for the disabled. Special arrangements can be made for wheel chairs.

Creativity is a way of living that is open to us all, because it arises from the spirit within
us. This is one of the best-kept secrets in the Western world. In fact, we have been
taught the opposite: that creativity is only for the elitist few.
Of course there are in every generation some very special talented artists, whose work
brings great pleasure and joy. But if we put these great artists on a pedestal, to the
exclusion of everyone else, we can kill off the creative gifts in the rest of us. And if we
do that, we destroy our vitality as a people.
