INVITATION FOR APPLICATION TO A DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION

(DEMA) AND DIPLOMA IN SCHOOL INSPECTION (DSI) FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2019/2020

Applicants are invited from suitable qualified candidates to pursue a two year
Diploma courses in Education Management and Administration and Diploma in
School Inspection offered by the Agency for the Development of Educational
Management (ADEM). Applicants should specify the campus they wish to study,
either at ADEM-Bagamoyo, ADEM-Mwanza or ADEM-Mbeya. The course
commences in October, 2019

1. BASIC INFORMATION
A: Target groups: Applicants should be in-service teachers, school heads or educational
managers and administrators at Ward, District, Regional or Zonal levels. These include

(i) District Education Officials (District Education Officers, Statistics and Logistics Officers, District
Academic Officers and Teachers Service Commission Officials.
(ii) Ward Education Coordinators (WECs).
(iii) Heads of Schools (Primary and Secondary).
(iv) Teachers from pre-primary, primary schools, secondary schools and colleges who have been
in the teaching service for not less than three years.
(v) Managers and Owners of Non-Government Schools such as Religious, Military, Private and
Investors in education service.
(vi) Workers in Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) dealing with education, etc.
(vii) School Quality Assurers ( School Inspectors)

B: Requirements for DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION (DEMA).

Applicants should be IN-SERVICE teachers or education officers who hold any of the following
qualifications, with a minimum of three years working experience:
  Grade A Teacher Certificate with a minimum of four passes in CSEE
  Diploma in Education from any recognized institution. 
 Bachelor degree and above, in education
 Certificate in Education Leadership, Management and Administration (CELMA) offered by
ADEM 

C: Requirements for DIPLOMA IN SCHOOL INSPECTION (DSI)
Applicants should be IN-SERVICE teachers or education officers who hold any of the following
C: qualifications, with a minimum of five years working experience:
 Grade A Teacher Certificate, with a minimum of two credits in CSEE. 
  Diploma in Education 
 Bachelor degree and above, in education 
 School Quality Assurer (School Inspector)
 
2.REQUIRED ENCLOSURES:
a) Curriculum Vitae including name, address, telephone, educational background and professional career.
b) Photocopies of Certificate of academic and professional qualifications
c) Photocopies of professional qualifications in Education certificates (Teacher Grade A, Diploma or
Degree)
d) Non-refundable application fee of Tshs. 10,000/= paid through:
(i ) NMB Bank by filling Pay-in-Slip and quote Control Number 991250002327

3. MODE OF APPLICATION:
a) Candidates must APPLY DIRECT TO ADEM in response to this advertisement.by
FILLING THE FORM PROVIDED at ADEM website or writing an applican letter. Applicants who
were not selected for Academic Year 2018/19 are allowed to re-apply for academic year 2019/20. .
