5.3.ii) Adequacy of the proposed work plan and methodology in responding to
Terms of Reference
a. Understanding of objectives and TOR

All the terms and condition are as per ToR . Consulting service for Seismic assessment of Mahabihar,
(Napichandra Mahabihar, Gopi Chandra Mahabihar, Prathamshree Mahabihar, Ratnakar Mahabihar) is
to be done with appropriate material testing (NDT) necessarily. Proper Retrofit design of four
mahabihar located in Lalitpur district has to be submitted with detailed drawings for reconstruction
along with architectural drawings if necessary. Scope of work will be as per ToR.

b. Methodology

Methodology for the assessment will be followed as mentioned in TOR. Documentation of existing
condition and situation, existing field investigation (material, orientation, mechanical properties etc) has
to be done. Detailed analysis for existing condition with analytical model is to be done for existing
seismic condition. Identify the possible and appropriate conservation design which verified with
analytical model with architectural, structural , electrical drawing with cost estimation and any other
data and if necessary in consensus with experts/Advisory team.

c. Innovativeness

Newly and improved techniquse can be applied if required in cooperation of archeological norms and
values and guideline as per Nepal Government. Earthquake resistance element will be introduced with
the use of tradition material for earthquake resistance design.
