Hello Eagle families! My name is Mrs. King. My husband, Jonathan, and I live near
Rolesville with our beautiful daughter, Lillian. As a family, we enjoy cooking, reading
books, watching movies, relaxing in our backyard, traveling somewhere fun, and
taking walks around our neighborhood with our dog, Finn. I am so excited to
welcome you to the 2019-20 school year and to 5th grade! I can't wait to get to
know you this year as we learn and grow together.

I grew up in Roanoke Rapids, NC with my mom, dad, brother, and

sister. Most of my family lived nearby, so I was lucky to spend a
lot of time with them as a kid, and I still do! I played soccer and
softball and ran track through middle school. The high jump was my
favorite event. In middle school, I played the clarinet in band and
was in the winter guard. I also danced for a local studio for 11
years, taking tap, jazz, ballet on pointe, lyrical, and hip-hop classes.

I graduated from East Carolina University with my Bachelors in Food: Breakfast & Pizza
Elementary Education in 2010. I taught 4th and 5th grades for 7 years. Movie: Fried Green Tomatoes
In 2016, I was awarded a fellowship and spent a year in graduate Book: The Harry Potter Series
school at NC State University as a North Carolina Principal Fellow. Last Color: Pink
school year, I served as Principal Intern at a local middle school and Drink: Iced Coffee
graduated with my Master of School Administration in May of 2019. Season: Spring
