This document provides an evaluation sheet for student science notebooks. It evaluates notebooks on visual appearance/organization, quality and completeness of notes, and inclusion of time outs. Notebooks can receive a score from 1 to 6, with 6 being excellent. An excellent notebook is completely organized, goes beyond basic requirements, uses color and diagrams, and shows in-depth self-reflection. Lower scores are given for notebooks that are less complete or organized or show only basic understanding of topics without self-reflection.
