Week 1 Unit 1

00:00:06 Hello and thanks for joining us on this course, Intelligent Decisions with SAP Analytics Cloud.
00:00:12 My name is Harjeet Judge and I'm a product manager for SAP Analytics Cloud.
00:00:17 This first unit is an introductory unit to get you started with the course.
00:00:22 So this course runs for five weeks and follows the usual openSAP course format.
00:00:27 Each week will have a set of instructional videos, self-tests, and weekly assignments,
00:00:34 and a final exam at the end. As for the course agenda, the focus for the first week
00:00:40 is on business intelligence. We'll get you started by having you load data
00:00:44 into the system, explore the data, and build your very first story.
00:00:50 Later in the week, we'll have you enhance that story by adding calculations, input controls, linked
analysis,
00:00:57 R visualizations, and much more. The BI topic continues into the second week
00:01:03 but we also leverage augmented analytics features like Smart Discovery, Smart Insights,
00:01:09 and Search to Insights to add some more machine-learning capabilities to your story.
00:01:15 Later in the week, we'll cover Digital Boardroom and show you how that offers
00:01:19 a premium consumption experience for content created in SAP Analytics Cloud.
00:01:24 And we'll close off the week by covering GRASP modeling topics
00:01:27 and how SAP Analytics Cloud can also be leveraged on top of live sources like SAP HANA.
00:01:35 Most of the units in week one and week two are demo units only.
00:01:39 Our goal with the instructional videos is to really introduce you to the key concepts
00:01:44 while the additional details are covered in the supplementary hands-on material
00:01:48 that we make available to you. I would encourage you to take advantage
00:01:52 of the free access to the SAP Analytics Cloud system and the available resources to get in-depth
experience
00:01:59 with the features and functions of the product. Week three is focused on Smart Predict.
00:02:05 You'll see different predictive scenarios like regression, classification, and segmented time series
00:02:12 and we'll have concrete use cases and examples for each one of these.
00:02:17 Week four is all about planning. This week will start with an introduction
00:02:22 to the planning models. So we'll have covered planning models
00:02:25 at some length in week two already, so the focus here would be to cover
00:02:29 planning specific features pertaining to modeling. You'll see different planning features
00:02:34 like creating private versions, half-year forecast data, using spreading, distribution, and
allocations.
00:02:42 We'll also introduce you to data actions, which provide a flexible way
00:02:47 to make structural changes to the model data. Week five focuses on analytics designer.
00:02:55 You'll learn how to use the powerful scripting- based way to create professionally authored
applications.
00:03:01 We'll explain the differences and the similarities between SAP Analytics Cloud stories
00:03:07 and analytical applications. In addition, integration with planning, navigation,
00:03:14 embedding, and extension capabilities will also be covered this week.
00:03:19 To reiterate what I said earlier, I strongly recommend you get your hands dirty
00:03:23 with the product by trying out the features on your own, using the provided system and the
resources.
00:03:31 The target audience for the course is business users and data analysts.
00:03:36 But the course is not really restricted to just those user personas.
00:03:41 Some weeks of the course cater more to a specific type of business user.
00:03:45 So for example, week three may be more of interest to a business user with a financial planning
background.
00:03:51 And while the analytics designer capabilities we cover in week five may be more suited
00:03:55 for a business user with a scripting background. Having said that,
00:04:01 the requirements for the course are quite low. To follow the video lectures.
00:04:06 you just need a basic understanding of the business intelligence planning
00:04:11 and predictive terminologies and concepts. In short, the course is good for anyone
00:04:17 wanting to learn more about SAP Analytics Cloud. Let's look into how you can get access
00:04:23 to a development system that you can use to practice your material.
00:04:29 Getting access to the system is quite straightforward. All that's required is a machine with the
Google Chrome browser installed on it.
00:04:39 You'll use the browser to access the URL seen on the slide, and at that point you'll be able to
register an account
00:04:47 and also activate that account. Once that account is activated,
00:04:52 you can log in using your e-mail and your password. Optionally, it's also possible to link that
account that you just created
00:04:59 with your Gmail or your LinkedIn profile, and at that point you can use a social single sign-on
00:05:05 to authenticate to the system. Let's go ahead and create a demo account together
00:05:10 so you can see how this process works. So here I have my browser open.
00:05:19 And I also have my e-mail open at the same time so I'm accessing openSAP's tenant URL.
00:05:26 And at that point you can see that I'm being prompted to authenticate
00:05:29 using my e-mail and password. But I'm going to use this register option
00:05:36 to actually register a new account. I'll type in my first name, last name,
00:05:42 use my dummy Gmail account that I created for this purpose, and specify a password.
00:05:49 And once I click on the Register button, it's going to basically create an account for me,
00:05:54 and at this point I should get an e-mail sent to my Gmail account that I used to register.
00:06:00 And at that point I can go into my e-mail and activate that account.
00:06:07 Once that's all done, I can log out of here and close some of these additional browser tabs
00:06:13 that are open. And let's access that openSAP tenant URL one more time.
00:06:23 This time, I'll still be prompted to authenticate using e-mail and password,
00:06:28 but because I've now got an account that's been registered, I can use that e-mail address
00:06:33 that I registered my account with and associated password to log in to SAP Analytics Cloud.
00:06:41 So this should be enough to get you started. If that's all you are looking for,
00:06:47 you don't have to go through and use social single sign-on options,
00:06:51 but I'm going to show you how that's possible as well in a second here.
00:06:57 So let's log out of this tenant. And let's see how we can link my Gmail account
00:07:05 to that account that I just registered. So I'm going to use the Google icon on the screen here.

2
00:07:13 And it should prompt me to pick the e-mail addresses that I typically use, so I have two e-mail
addresses
00:07:19 so I'm going to pick the one, the demo e-mail address that I created.
00:07:24 And at this point, what the system's asking for is saying, "Okay now I need to link this Gmail
account
00:07:31 with the account that you created earlier." So that's essentially what I'm doing here,
00:07:35 I'm linking my Gmail to that account that I just registered on SAP Analytics Cloud with.
00:07:41 Once that linking is done, I can then use the social single sign-on option to authenticate.
00:07:47 And let's see how that works after I log out. I'd be able to click on that Google icon one more time
00:07:53 and select my e-mail that I want to use to authenticate, and you can see that I don't have to
specify a user ID
00:08:01 and password to log in at all. So either you can just register your account
00:08:05 and just type in your e-mail, type in your password to log in, or you can do those additional couple
of steps
00:08:12 to set up that social single sign-on using your Gmail account or your LinkedIn profile
00:08:18 and use those icons to do basically SSO, so you don't have to type in the user ID and password
00:08:26 every single time you access the SAC system. So with that, once again I wanted to thank you
00:08:34 for joining us for this openSAP course. I look forward to seeing you in the next unit.

Week 1 Unit 2

00:00:06 Hello everyone. Welcome to week one of the openSAP course

00:00:10 for SAP Analytics Cloud. This week one is focused on business intelligence
00:00:15 and this is unit 1.2, the Overview and Strategy of SAP Analytics Cloud.
00:00:21 Analytics Cloud is a part of SAP's overall strategy
00:00:25 for the Intelligent Enterprise, and that Intelligent Enterprise framework
00:00:30 is made up of three components, and those components are the intelligent suite,
00:00:35 the digital platform, and intelligent technologies. SAP Analytics Cloud is a part
00:00:41 of the intelligent technologies component. Now, Analytics Cloud is also part of
00:00:48 and is the main driver behind SAP's analytics strategy in general,
00:00:54 which is a cloud-first strategy. And that means that SAP Analytics Cloud
00:00:59 is the strategic analytics platform for all SAP business applications.
00:01:05 This means that the multiple analytics scenarios that you will find in a typical organization,
00:01:11 almost all of them today are met by SAP Analytics Cloud.
00:01:15 That includes data visualization and data discovery.
00:01:18 That includes application design for business intelligence and planning
00:01:22 and predictive use cases. It means planning for both standalone
00:01:26 and S/4HANA scenarios, and for cloud applications
00:01:30 and on-premise applications. And it also means augmented analytics
00:01:34 for really all analytics use cases. Now, Analytics Cloud was built
00:01:40 from the very beginning with this idea of being one simple cloud.
00:01:45 And so there are multiple reasons behind this, and the idea of one is really
00:01:51 to have one analytic platform that has all of the analytics capabilities
00:01:55 together in one area. Those analytic capabilities
00:01:59 being things like data discovery or business intelligence, and planning
00:02:05 and predictive and application design. The experiences of Analytics Cloud
00:02:12 that allow you to interact with the content and the things that you create
00:02:16 using those capabilities. That includes things like the digital boardroom
00:02:19 and the Analytics Hub and mobile BI. And so overall, Analytics Cloud,
00:02:25 as the name suggests, is cloud. It's provided as a public cloud service only,
00:02:31 and the primary differentiators of Analytics Cloud are really threefold.
00:02:37 Number one is again a unified experience. Whether you are in finance or in marketing,
00:02:45 or you're creating or having a use case around planning or predictive use cases or BI,
00:02:51 it is one experience that you have for all of those scenarios.
00:02:55 Two, a unique differentiator is its ability to connect to data live
00:03:00 without having to actually move the data from its source to Analytics Cloud.
00:03:05 Today this is, from an SAP application or background perspective, that's focused on things like
BW,
00:03:12 HANA, S/4HANA, universes, whether those applications are residing
00:03:17 on premise or in the cloud, and then through partners we're able to connect
00:03:21 to third-party data as a live connection as well. And then thirdly, but certainly not least,
00:03:29 the differentiator for Analytics Cloud is the fact that we are embedded in,
00:03:35 or integrated with, or connecting to all of SAP's applications,
00:03:40 whether they are on-premise or cloud. That's really the heart of Analytics Cloud's

4
00:03:45 participation in the Intelligent Enterprise. Now, from the business perspective
00:03:52 there're really three major themes behind Analytics Cloud.
00:03:57 The overarching umbrella of this is the idea of being able to make intelligent decisions.
00:04:03 So, the three areas of the idea of making intelligent decisions are:
00:04:08 The Analytics Cloud is complete, it is contextual, and it allows you
00:04:13 to make decisions with confidence. So, if we drill down a little bit
00:04:17 on the idea of Analytics Cloud being complete, this is where we're talking about the ability
00:04:23 to have one experience in one platform providing for multiple analytics use cases.
00:04:30 It also gives you the ability to go from data to intelligence.
00:04:35 That means data on its own is just data. Without context, data doesn't really do anything for you.
00:04:42 It's when you have data in context, you have it at the right moment,
00:04:46 at the right place, and in the right hands, that it actually becomes information.
00:04:51 And when you have information in context, when you have information at the right time,
00:04:56 and at the right place and in the right hands, that gives you knowledge.
00:05:00 And when you have knowledge, that allows you to make decisions with confidence.
00:05:04 And it's these decisions that can be made not just by the executive
00:05:09 or the high-level managers, it can be made by anyone
00:05:12 that has access to Analytics Cloud. It's another reason why we have made it
00:05:16 a public cloud service. It's really easy to subscribe
00:05:20 to the service of Analytics Cloud. So for any user of any organization
00:05:25 they can have more intelligence, have more information
00:05:29 to make intelligent decisions. Secondly, Analytics Cloud is contextual.
00:05:34 It means that you can do things like take insight to action
00:05:38 in the context of your business application. And that means, "insight to action" means
00:05:43 being able to analyze the information that you have coming from your applications,
00:05:48 and being able to take action after you have analyzed that information
00:05:53 and you want to make a decision. And so insight to action means
00:05:56 you can actually, from the information that you have in your story in Analytics Cloud,
00:06:01 or in your application from app design, you can take action in the source system
00:06:07 and actually make a change in that source system.
00:06:10 So this is a really important part of the SAP Analytics Cloud capability,
00:06:15 is that idea of insight to action. It also provides you with data literacy
00:06:20 meaning that you can, as a business user, you're able to increase that data literacy,
00:06:26 be more engaged with your business processes, be accountable for the decisions
00:06:31 that you're making using Analytics Cloud. And then thirdly it's the idea
00:06:35 of the intelligent network. Again, Analytics Cloud being embedded
00:06:38 in SAP's Intelligent Enterprise, connected to, integrated with,
00:06:43 or embedded in all of the SAP applications, regardless of whether they are cloud or on premise.
00:06:49 And lastly, or thirdly, is the idea of being confident. Using Analytics Cloud allows you
00:06:55 to make confident decisions, and it's allowing you to do this
00:06:59 faster than in the past because of things like AI,
00:07:03 or Artificial Intelligence, natural language generation,
00:07:06 natural language querying, machine learning. And these are all delivered to you naturally,
00:07:13 inherent in the different capabilities of Analytics Cloud. So making confident decisions
00:07:19 means being able to take advantage of things like conversational AI. With search to insight,

5
00:07:25 we have machine learning capabilities embedded in Analytics Cloud
00:07:29 that allow you to ask natural questions to Analytics Cloud, and it will provide you answers
00:07:35 both in terms of visualizations and charts, but also with naturally generated responses
00:07:43 in a phraseology that you can understand. It also means automated, in that
00:07:48 you can have your information driven by various machine learning algorithms
00:07:53 and predictive insights directly in Analytics Cloud without you having to be a data scientist
00:07:59 or a citizen data scientist. And thirdly, it means that there are
00:08:03 predictive capabilities as well. So with Smart Predict,
00:08:06 you can take advantage of classification and regression analysis
00:08:10 without even really knowing what those terms mean.
00:08:13 Analytics Cloud is really doing that, that most sophisticated predictive work for you.
00:08:19 So, overall, Analytics Cloud, allowing you to take data
00:08:23 and make intelligence out of that. It's the combination of business intelligence
00:08:28 and enterprise planning and augmented analytics that provides that capability for you
00:08:33 all on one platform. In summary, there are really four major things
00:08:39 to remember from this unit. That is, that number one,
00:08:43 Analytics Cloud is an integral part of the intelligent technologies component
00:08:47 of the Intelligent Enterprise. Number two, it is the strategic analytics platform
00:08:53 for all of SAP's business applications going forward. Number three, it's been architected
00:08:59 and the experience of Analytics Cloud is meant to be focused on this idea
00:09:03 of one simple cloud. And number four, it's the idea
00:09:07 that business intelligence and enterprise planning
00:09:10 and augmented analytics are all on that same platform.
00:09:15 Next week, look forward to unit 1.3, which is around import data and modeling.

6
Week 1 Unit 3

00:00:05 Hi, I'm Jacob Stark, Product Manager with SAP Analytics Cloud.
00:00:10 And today, it is my privilege to guide you through the creation of your very first story
00:00:17 inside of SAP Analytics Cloud. Now, if you look at my screen,
00:00:21 you can see that I'm already signed in. Now since it's browser-based,
00:00:26 that means I don't have to download or install anything, no worries about patches, updates,
00:00:31 if I'm on the latest version, no, we're always all on the latest version.
00:00:36 Now, what I want to do today is really quickly, first, show you a little bit around the application.
00:00:42 Up here in my top right-hand corner, it's how I navigate. I'm in as an admin,
00:00:47 so I have more capabilities than most users. I can see security, deployment options, connection,
00:00:52 and system administration and monitoring options. Most users, when they come in,
00:00:58 they're going to see these top options. The calendar and the ability to create content,
00:01:04 maybe a story or a data model, or just to browse what's already been created for them.
00:01:11 You can see we also have access to our recent stories. And we can see different stories
00:01:16 that we've pinned to our homepage, that we have access to. One thing that's really important to
be aware of,
00:01:22 is how to get to Help. In the top right-hand corner,
00:01:25 if I click on this middle button, this will launch the Help Center.
00:01:29 And from here, it's really easy to learn all sorts of different things.
00:01:33 So want to learn about bookmarks? Sure, we've got you covered.
00:01:37 Throughout this course, you're going to run into some questions here and there.
00:01:40 This would be one of my favorite resources. So do pay attention to this, is how to get to Help.
00:01:46 Now, what we want to do is we want to analyze this sales data that we have.
00:01:51 So I'm going to take it and I'm just going to drag and drop it in. As I do so, what this is going to do
00:01:58 is it's going to try to figure out some of that data model for me.
00:02:02 So with older tools, you used to have to specify what's a measure, what's a dimension?
00:02:06 Anything like that - but not today. It's going to try to take a first stab at that.
00:02:12 And let's take a look at how well it's done. So as it's opened it up, you can see,
00:02:15 look, order, it's put it as a dimension, date, it's formatted it correctly as time.
00:02:21 And if I scroll all the way over to the side, you can see that all my measures
00:02:25 have also been correctly identified. So not a bad job at all.
00:02:30 If you want to make further changes, though, you can right from here.
00:02:35 So, for instance, I have my sales agents. And right now it's split it up for the first and last name.
00:02:41 Maybe I don't want that, maybe I want to combine those back together.
00:02:44 I'm going to select the two columns. And first I'm just going to see what's this suggested action.
00:02:49 And sure enough, it's suggesting that I go ahead and concatenate these columns.
00:02:55 When I choose that action, you can see it's collapsed it now down into its own column.
00:03:00 And it even showed me, if you saw up there, what formula it was using as it did it.
00:03:05 Now I'm going to double-click on this, and I'm going to change the name of my updated column.
00:03:11 And there it is, just a sales agent. Something else I can do from within here is geo- enrich.
00:03:17 So if I want to use some of this data for mapping purposes, I would want to geo-enrich the model,
00:03:23 I can do that as well right here. Under the Actions tab, I can enrich by coordinates.
00:03:28 And look, it's already finding my latitude and longitude. All it wants me to specify is what do I want
as my ID,
00:03:35 so I'll choose Country and click Create. Now it's going to create a brand new column for me,

7
00:03:41 that's going to have that lat-long information. And there it is, off to the side.
00:03:46 With that new column created, I don't need the information in my model itself.
00:03:51 I'm not going to report on this information, so I might as well just delete it.
00:03:55 So I'm going to delete these columns out. As I'm deleting these out,
00:04:00 you might get a little bit nervous or anxious, thinking, well, what if he didn't want to delete this?
00:04:05 What if he needs to get that back or anything like that? Or what if I do?
00:04:08 Well, don't worry, we have undo-redo options. And we also have a Transform Log.
00:04:14 With the Transform Log, you can actually undo the different actions that you're doing.
00:04:19 And you can see it also just on a specific column, if you so desire.
00:04:23 So there you go. So never fear, you can always see
00:04:26 what's being done to your model. And also, you can undo some of those things
00:04:30 if you wanted to, as well. There's so much more we could do
00:04:34 from inside of this section. You can create brand new columns that are calculated,
00:04:39 you can do a number of different actions for cleaning up, you can take a look as you're just
tapping
00:04:43 on these different fields. Let me go ahead and show you the details.
00:04:48 And you can see it shows you the data quality, it shows you the data distribution.
00:04:52 So there's a lot of capabilities that are sitting inside of here,
00:04:55 but we won't cover all of those right now because we actually have an advanced section later on
00:05:00 where you'll dive deeper into this. For now, we're good to go.
00:05:04 So next, what we're going to start doing is creating our very first story.
00:05:10 I'm going to start from our Explorer - I love our Explorer. This is a way for you to start slicing and
dicing that data
00:05:18 without having to create 50 million charts and manually building it out.
00:05:22 Let me show you what I need. So first off, you see, it's just validating
00:05:26 all the changes that I made to the data. And it's updating everything for me.
00:05:30 And it's going to hop me over to our exploration mode, where now it's going to try to compress
visually,
00:05:36 all of these items for me, so I can start slicing and dicing.
00:05:40 So there are all my dimensions and here are my measures. So if you want to say, "Show me what
my order value is
00:05:46 by my customer segment," you just tap on it. Let's say you want to do it by status,
00:05:51 and you just want to filter on prospective customers. Well, there you go, so really, really easy.
00:05:57 And you can create more complex charts as well as you're going through here.
00:06:01 Now, as I'm doing this, one thing to note is, down below, it's auto suggesting the chart type for
me.
00:06:08 If you don't like it or anything like that, don't worry, you can actually change it.
00:06:11 So you can override it and say, like, for instance, I want to do something different,
00:06:16 I want to take a look at this as a pie chart. And there you go.
00:06:20 So it's visualizing it still for me. But for right now, let's go ahead,
00:06:25 and let's switch back to our Auto Suggested. From here, you also have the ability
00:06:31 to display different measures right on here. So if I wanted to, I could say, for each of these,
00:06:37 I want to see my total units sold, and there it is. It shows it right there next to the dimension itself,
00:06:44 and you can set that up in this view. There's quite a bit you can do here, as well.
00:06:49 But I think we're good to go. And let's now start building out our first little dashboard.
00:06:55 So I want to create one based upon Product and I'm going to take this,
00:06:59 I'm going to copy it onto a new canvas page. So now we're creating our story.

8
00:07:05 We've got our canvas page, we're building it out. What is a canvas page?
00:07:09 Well, within Analytics Cloud, you have two options, you can create a canvas or a responsive page
00:07:15 when you're looking at layouts for charts. Now, with the canvas page, it's more focused
00:07:20 on pixel-perfect reporting. For instance, if I wanted to,
00:07:25 I could put this other object down, and I could overlay it, I could group it together,
00:07:32 I can do a number of different things. I can rotate this if I so desire,
00:07:36 I don't know why you would do that, but you can. And then if you want to, you can also do this
00:07:41 to really pixel-perfect, fine-grained precision.
00:07:47 You see that? Canvas.
00:07:49 Canvas is all about this type of pixel-perfect, fine-grained control.
00:07:56 But that doesn't really work if you're trying to view it on multiple screen sizes.
00:08:01 If you have an executive and she wants to see it on her phone, on her tablet, on her desktop,
00:08:07 well, you're going to not want to be using, a very specific size for that.
00:08:11 That's where you use responsive. So now I'm going to take this
00:08:15 and create a new responsive page and paste this down. And you can see, it's not grouped
together anymore.
00:08:21 But what's really nice is this will resize based upon my content.
00:08:26 So if I view this on a different screen size, I can trust that it's still going to look
00:08:31 really good as I do this. Now, as I created this chart over here,
00:08:37 and you saw me create it using the Explorer mode, don't forget, you can also create it
00:08:42 right from within this main story mode. Up here in our top ribbon, you'll see a number of options.
00:08:49 You saw earlier, I added in one of my shapes, well, right up here I can also add in charts.
00:08:54 So next I'm going to throw in a table right from up here, just so you see this alternate way
00:08:59 of building out your story. So as I build this chart over here,
00:09:04 we also see underneath the Designer tab, we have both Builder panel and Styling panel.
00:09:10 For Builder panel, this is how we can go in and start saying how we want to structurally create the
chart or the table.
00:09:18 So I'm going to add in my order ID. And let's say I just want to view
00:09:21 all of my different measures. So I can do it like that.
00:09:26 And we're building it out using this. Now we also have the Styling panel.
00:09:31 There's an entire section on theming. We're going to get much more into this,
00:09:35 but underneath the Styling panel, you can choose if you're going to have borders,
00:09:39 what your background colors are, your font colors, your templates, everything under the sun
00:09:44 is going to be available right below here. But don't forget, we will play around with more of this
00:09:50 when we get into the theme and styling portion. Now what we need to do is we need to just add
00:09:56 a couple more charts before we do the next part of our program.
00:10:00 So I'm going to add a new lane above. And what I'm going to add up in here
00:10:04 is I'm going to throw in a couple of numeric point charts. So I'm going to insert a chart.
00:10:11 And as I insert that chart, we're going to throw down a numeric point chart.
00:10:16 So I'll choose my units sold and numeric point.
00:10:24 Now I've created this nice chart. Let me go ahead and just hide a few things.
00:10:30 And instead of having to create this, again manually, repeatedly, you can also copy and paste,
00:10:37 which is really nice. So you can copy and paste multiple objects
00:10:41 and you could actually exit this story, enter another story and paste them all somewhere else
also.
00:10:45 So this copy and paste does work across stories, as well. So now I've just created this three
times,

9
00:10:51 and all I have to do is swap it out. So I'm going to change my units sold.
00:10:56 This time let's do the number of customer meetings. And let's jump over here,
00:11:01 and say I'm going to change up my units sold, and which one are we missing?
00:11:04 I think it's our order value. And there you go.
00:11:08 So within just around 10 minutes, we have broadened our data. We have transformed it, we've
geo-enriched it.
00:11:17 And we had built our very first story. Next up, what we're going to do
00:11:21 is start making this a little bit more intelligent by using filters, input controls, and linked analysis.

10
Week 1 Unit 4

00:00:06 Okay. Now what we're going to take a look at

00:00:08 is how we can enrich this with some linked analysis, filters, and input controls.
00:00:13 So when you're using filters, you can use them right on the chart level.
00:00:17 I'm going to show you that right now. So if I wanted to, I could say, I want a filter on this.
00:00:21 I'm going to filter first with a customer for a specific product, whatever I want to do.
00:00:24 I also could be filtering on the page level, so I could add a filter right up here
00:00:29 that's going to apply to the entire page. Or, if I wanted to, I could also create a story- wide filter.
00:00:35 So as I come up here, you can go ahead and add story-wide filters.
00:00:40 Right now, what I want to do is I just want to add our first page filter.
00:00:44 So, in this case, what I want to filter on is a specific period of time.
00:00:48 So I'll just select this. And the dimension I want to take a look at is my date,
00:00:54 and I want to filter just on my last quarter. So I'm going to do it this way.
00:01:00 So now it's re-filtered everything on the page, just for that last quarter.
00:01:04 Now, that's just some of the things you can do with filters. There's quite a bit more,
00:01:08 and we'll get more into it as we move forward, but I also want to skip over and show you
00:01:12 some cool things we can do with input controls. So, first off, we have this chart right here.
00:01:18 And you know what? It's not very interactive. It's not fun for the end user.
00:01:23 And I want to make it a little bit more interactive for them. So, what about if we can make it where
they
00:01:28 could select what the measure was, or what the dimension was? So let's do that now.
00:01:32 I'm going to come in and I'm going to replace out the measure that I currently have,
00:01:36 and instead I'm going to use a measure input control. The measure input control
00:01:41 now provides the end user the ability to choose which measure they want to look at.
00:01:46 I'm going to move it right over here for easy access, and I'm going to go ahead and rename this.
00:01:55 Bonus points for those paying attention - you can also use this across multiple pages.
00:02:00 This exact same input control can be used on different pages
00:02:03 and as the source for it. Now, let me show you what this is doing.
00:02:07 So I have this one right here where I can see my bikes.
00:02:09 But what I want to do now, instead of taking a look at it
00:02:12 by the number of customer meetings, I want to take a look at it by units sold.
00:02:16 So now as I change that selection, it changes the chart for me.
00:02:20 Now let's make it ultimately interactive. By making it where I can swap between both the
measures
00:02:24 or all of those different dimensions. So now I'm going to do the exact same action,
00:02:29 but this time I'm going to create a dimension input control and select all of my available
dimensions.
00:02:37 Now as I'm moving this onto the page, you can see that they can be the same thing.
00:02:44 They can now be slicing and dicing every single aspect of the data
00:02:49 on their own, right from within here. And if you wanted to, you could actually edit this.
00:02:53 You can say, "Well, no, I don't really want to have it where they can change the date or the order
ID
00:02:58 or something like that and slice that." So you can customize it that way.
00:03:01 And you can also go ahead and say whether or not the input control
00:03:05 is going to apply it to certain specific things on the page or not.

11
00:03:08 Not for this one, but for this one up here. You can have it where they selectively apply different
things.
00:03:14 Now, as I'm going through here, so you can see we now have these nice interactive
00:03:19 dimension and measure input controls. And again, as I was mentioning,
00:03:22 if I wanted to, I actually could've hooked that up into other charts as well.
00:03:26 So I could've said, let's use that input, dimension input control over here.
00:03:30 Now you can see it's actually being sourced by that exact same one.
00:03:34 So now you can watch as I make this adjustment how it's applying to the two different charts
00:03:38 at the same time. So, we've shown off some of these cool functionalities,
00:03:43 and hopefully you've been able to follow along and do that as well.
00:03:46 What I also want to show is linked analysis. So linked analysis is another way
00:03:51 that we can make this very interactive. So, what I'm going to do is underneath my More panel,
00:03:56 I'm going to activate linked analysis. And I'm going to choose "Filter on datapoint selection"
00:04:01 for the linked item. So once I do that, let me show you what happens.
00:04:06 So I just want to find out what's going on with that C900 BIKE.
00:04:10 You can tap on it. And as you do so, now you see
00:04:13 the specific order value, customer meetings, units sold. And look, it's filtering every single one of
your
00:04:18 detailed order items. So if you wanted to have something,
00:04:22 where you have like a top-level metric, but then you drill down into all those details,
00:04:26 linked analysis is perfect for that. And that's what we're showing right now.
00:04:30 So, you can also do this from the table as well, or a number of other charts.
00:04:36 So let me activate the exact same thing on the table. So as I come through,
00:04:40 I'll use my linked analysis in "Filter on datapoint selection",
00:04:43 now as I go through here and I tap on something - let's say I just want to focus on this one order -
00:04:48 there are the details on that. So this is bidirectional.
00:04:51 You can be doing it in multiple ways, impacting different charts from different directions,
00:04:56 and you can still be slicing and dicing as you move through. This is just a quick taste of some of
those capabilities
00:05:03 that you have with filters, linked analysis, and input controls.
00:05:11 For the next part of this lesson, I want to talk a little bit about calculations.
00:05:16 Now we could do an entire openSAP course just on calculations,
00:05:20 but I want to at least get you warmed up to the basics. First, so up here I can see my order value,
00:05:26 my number of customer meetings, my number of units sold.
00:05:29 What if I want to know something else? Like I want to know something like
00:05:32 what is my number of orders that I had? Well, you could do that actually as a calculation.
00:05:36 So let's say I'm going to take this metric and replace it. I'm going to come in here
00:05:40 and I'm going to add a new measure. I'm going to create a calculation.
00:05:44 For the calculation, I have a number of options. I can create a Calculated Measure,
00:05:48 a Restricted Measure, Difference From, Aggregation, Dimension To Measure, and so on.
00:05:53 And let me just show you very quickly. For Calculated Measure, you could do something like,
00:05:57 I'm going to take my customer meetings and multiply it by my units sold -
00:06:02 whatever you want to do, standard calculations. But what I want to do right now
00:06:06 is I want to get that total count. And so, I'm going to use Aggregation.
00:06:12 And I'm going to say, let's take a look and count just our dimensions.
00:06:15 And as we do this, we want to do it for our orders. So now we have a count of orders.

12
00:06:23 So, as I do this, you'll see I can now see my total number of orders.
00:06:29 And as I'm going through, I can filter again on Direct or something like
00:06:33 and say, okay, there's 115 orders for direct. Now as you're going through here
00:06:37 don't forget that you have some customization capabilities. So, if I open this up again, I could
choose to format it.
00:06:43 So, for instance, since this is a whole number, I'm just going to remove the decimal places.
00:06:47 If I wanted to, I also could've made this where it was going to be a percentage or something like
that.
00:06:52 So, apart from formatting it like here, you could also go in, re-edit it, things like that,
00:06:57 but there you go. So, we've created our first calculation.
00:07:01 I want to show you just a couple more really quick calculations, just so you're aware of it.
00:07:06 So, as I was coming in here, we saw that first one. So we've gone ahead now - we've done
Aggregation,
00:07:11 we've done Calculated Measure. What's a Restricted Measure?
00:07:14 So, a Restricted Measure is where you're saying, "I want to be able to see my total customer
meetings,
00:07:18 or my total this, or my total that; based upon criteria." So, let's say I want to have something
00:07:23 where it's my units sold, but it's going to be restricted for a certain group.
00:07:27 So, "Units sold for Select Countries". Now, as I do that, I can now choose from a list and say,
00:07:36 well, looking at my country, I only want to be able to select certain values.
00:07:41 So, I just want to be focusing on American Samoa, Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Andorra.
00:07:47 And as you do that, that creates a brand new measure where it's units sold,
00:07:50 but now it's always going to be restricted down to those specific countries.
00:07:55 So, this is something else that you could be doing with these types of measures
00:07:59 and calculations. The final part that I want to show you
00:08:02 is a calculated input control, because this is my favorite -
00:08:06 I have a lot of favorites, if you haven't noticed. Okay, so for this one,
00:08:09 what I want to do is I want to make the end user do an action in order to calculate something.
00:08:15 So, let's say want to do a discount percentage, and we want to find out how it would impact order
value.
00:08:21 So, we're going to say this is our "Discounted Amount". And now with my discounted amount,
00:08:27 I'm going to go ahead and take my order, how much sold everything for,
00:08:33 and I'm going to multiply it by something. I don't know what that something is yet.
00:08:36 It's going to be the discount percentage that they select. So what I'm going to do
00:08:40 is I'm going to create a new calculated input control. As I come in here, they're going to be able to
00:08:45 select from a static list a value that's going to come from a specific range.
00:08:50 So, I'll say they can choose from 1% all the way up to 50%.
00:08:54 And they'll choose that in one-point increments. So now that I've done that,
00:08:59 it's going to spin it out as its own input control onto the page.
00:09:03 And then what I can do is I can just multiply it by it. So let me show you how this would look.
00:09:08 So I can now multiply it by that new input control. And what I probably want to do is take 100,
00:09:17 subtract the percentage from it, and then that's what we're going to multiply it by.
00:09:23 And if I wanted to, I could also divide this entire thing by 100. That way we get back the actual
percentage,
00:09:29 the actual total amount. So now we've got that percentage.
00:09:32 Let's go ahead and "OK" this. Let's pretend I didn't put it on this specific chart,
00:09:38 but... Now watch this.

13
00:09:42 An end user, so let me just link this up to something different. So, let's remove this from here for a
second,
00:09:51 and I'm going to link it up with a different chart. And so now I can use that new discounted amount
that I have,
00:10:05 and now they can select. So if I have a discount of 17%,
00:10:10 this is what the new amount would be. And so you can watch as they make these changes
00:10:15 with the total amount as you increase the amount of the discount that you're applying.
00:10:19 So this is the power of what you have with a calculated input control,
00:10:22 and how this now can be something that's used by your end user.
00:10:26 Next, what we're going to take a look at are some more advanced charts.
00:10:29 They're going to include geomaps and R visualizations.

14
Week 1 Unit 5

00:00:05 So, now we get to some of the fun stuff: advanced charts. Let's see what we can do
00:00:10 with some R visualizations and geo maps. We're going to start off with geo maps.
00:00:15 What's nice is this is included right in the product. I'm going to go ahead and add a new geo map
onto my canvas.
00:00:24 As I bring it over here, I can just arrange it up here. And now what I want to do is
00:00:32 add in that geo information that we have. So you see, it's asking me for the specific layer model.
00:00:38 Do you know why? Because you can have multiple
00:00:40 layers of geospatial information. So with one map, I could have data coming
00:00:44 from a variety of different sources. But we're just going to use the data that we've
00:00:48 already enriched today. So I've gone ahead and added in that data.
00:00:52 And now it can see that enriched dimension, the location that we did earlier.
00:00:56 Once we add it on, you can see it display it with all those different bubbles.
00:01:00 So those are all the locations that we've made those sales throughout the world.
00:01:03 And if we wanted to, we could also color it. So let's say I want to color it by the number of units
sold.
00:01:09 So now it'll highlight for me different areas where there's high sales.
00:01:13 Well, there's a number of options with our layers. So we're using the bubble layer right now,
00:01:17 which I really like. I also love our heat map layer.
00:01:20 We have a choropleth layer, which allows you to drill down. And we also have a flow layer and a
feature layer.
00:01:25 Now that flow layer allows you to draw a point from point A to point B, and you can connect those
dots.
00:01:31 Now, just to show you briefly the choropleth layer, since this one's really popular,
00:01:35 what this allows you to do is view everything in shapes of the different countries,
00:01:40 and then you can drill in on the different areas. So if you had information that went down
00:01:44 to a regional level, you could start at that larger mass,
00:01:48 and then just keep drilling down. So this is really nice and a fast, easy way
00:01:52 to view everything. But just for all the flexibility it affords us,
00:01:57 today, we're going to use a bubble layer. So with the bubble layer, we also get bubble size.
00:02:02 So I want to size this now. And I'm going to we're going to size it by
00:02:05 our number of customer meetings. And there you go.
00:02:07 Well, that's massive, that doesn't work for me.
00:02:09 So we also can customize this. So I'm going to change that size down.
00:02:14 And that looks a little bit more palatable. And if I wanted to,
00:02:17 I could also say for the color itself that I want to change the opacity of it
00:02:21 and soften it up a little bit. I also can choose what is my overall base map.
00:02:26 I can choose from a variety of options: a street map view, a hybrid view,
00:02:30 I can make it look like National Geographic, or my favorite, I really like the transparent dark one.
00:02:36 Because then I can take this, and I can actually make it
00:02:39 where it's going to be a really nice, soft gray. See that?
00:02:43 So your data is popping out still. Now, as I've done this, I've got all these bubbles.
00:02:49 If I wanted to, I could also be going through, and I could be making it where we could
00:02:54 show this, the bubble size, we could do our own little clustering of it.
00:02:58 So right now we have all these different bubbles throughout the world.

15
00:03:01 But let's say I just want to focus on core groups. Well, you can go ahead and just reduce
00:03:05 the number of items that you have right through here. And there you go.
00:03:09 So now you can see it focused in on those specific areas.
00:03:13 So this is up to you, you can configure this out, you can show as many or as little as you'd like.
00:03:18 Now another nice feature about the geo map, it works with that linked analysis
00:03:21 that we showed you earlier. So I could come in here,
00:03:24 and I could activate linked analysis. And as I filter on datapoint selection, watch this,
00:03:30 I can say I just want to find out what's going on with this red highlighted area in the UK.
00:03:34 Now it's filtering everything, all of my charts on the page are all
00:03:38 being filtered right for that. So it's bidirectional.
00:03:40 So you can go in either direction, I can say let's focus in on direct sales,
00:03:44 or show me where that's happening the most. Or vice versa, I can filter right from here
00:03:48 and see what's happening in the other direction. So this is just some of the capability
00:03:53 that you have with the geo map. There's quite a bit more,
00:03:55 but hopefully this gets your feet wet and a lot of interest.
00:03:59 I want to talk to you now about R visualizations. You might have a data scientist or someone
00:04:04 who has their own specific visualization they love to use. And it might not even be something
00:04:09 that's available in most tools. Well with this, we allow you to actually use
00:04:13 your own R visualizations. We have a hosted R server for you,
00:04:17 or you can also point to your own R installation. And from here, you can use a variety of different
charts.
00:04:24 So I'm going to go ahead and add in my input data again. So there's my sales analysis one,
00:04:29 and what I want to do is create a word cloud. So inside the tool, I may not have a word cloud
00:04:34 that I like to customize or like the way that I want. Well, that's okay, I'm going to use my own,
00:04:37 using my R visualization. I'll go ahead and select the customer.
00:04:42 And I've selected all of my different account members. And now I can put in my own R script.
00:04:48 Now if you're following along yourself, don't worry, you should have this in the documentation.
00:04:54 So I'm just going to paste in that part, hit Apply,
00:04:58 and if we did it correctly, hopefully we'll see a nice R visualization come back.
00:05:02 And there you go. So we've got this nice word cloud
00:05:05 that has been returned for us. You have again so many options as you're using this.
00:05:10 And if you want you can even take a look at some of the examples or snippets
00:05:13 that we have inside of here. So I like this one that we have right here,
00:05:17 but there's so many more infinite options underneath the hood.
00:05:20 This is just to show you a couple of those advanced charts. Be sure to make use of them and play
around with these.

16
Week 1 Unit 6

00:00:07 Now that we've built out a bit of the story, it's time to add some context.
00:00:11 Let's make this a bit more intelligent. We're going to do that with thresholds,
00:00:16 variants, and conditional formatting. So, if you're looking at my screen right now,
00:00:20 you can see I've gone ahead and just taken a look at my sales agent.
00:00:24 I'm taking a look at their units sold, and – wow! – it looks like Jordan Landry is doing
00:00:29 an absolutely wonderful job. But are these people doing as well as they look?
00:00:34 What we don't know is how their past performance was. That would be the best way of being able
to
00:00:39 measure their progress right now. How we're going to do that now is
00:00:42 just by simply adding variants. So I'm going to go ahead, click on here,
00:00:47 and add variants. As I add variants, I'm going to do this
00:00:52 based upon the current date, and compare it to the previous period.
00:00:56 Now you get a much better view of what's happening across all these different areas.
00:01:01 You have a number of display options as well. So for me, I really like showing it as a percentage.
00:01:08 And, personally, I like displaying it right here as a data label.
00:01:13 Just so we don't need all of these extra percentage points, I'm going to bring it down just to one
point
00:01:17 or something like that so you can control that. You can change the decimal points to as many or
little
00:01:23 as you'd like. And now we have a much better view of how
00:01:27 people are really doing. And Jordan, who looked like they were doing wonderful,
00:01:32 far above everyone, might need some help because they're actually 12% off from
00:01:35 where they were last time. So this is a quick way you can be adding in your variances.
00:01:40 We're doing it right here based upon the date, but you could've also done it where you
00:01:44 just compared one to another measure. So that could've been your goal measure to
00:01:49 your actual measure, or from a version basis. Whatever works best for you.
00:01:54 So that's us putting in some variances on here. I'm going to go ahead and put it on a couple of
00:01:58 other charts as well. Just that way it starts looking a little bit nicer.
00:02:02 So I'm going to put it on my numeric point chart as well, and it's going to be the same process.
00:02:07 So I'll come in here and we can take a look as we're going through.
00:02:11 I'm comparing the current to the last period, and I can go ahead and change it over to
00:02:15 be based upon the percentage. And there you go.
00:02:21 So it's just comparing those values together as it's going. Now, we'll save you the time of showing
the rest of this,
00:02:29 but we will have it in the final version. But, one thing to note is as you actually change
00:02:34 this date selector that we did previously, if you go ahead and edit what you're filtering on,
00:02:39 and you take a look at something else, it'll actually respond to that and it'll show the other quarter.
00:02:44 So if I wanted to look back at a different quarter or do something like that, all of this
00:02:47 would change dynamically in relation to it. You don't have to reset up all of that.
00:02:51 So this is just something that you can be doing with those variances.
00:02:54 Let's take a look now at what we can be doing with our thresholds.
00:02:59 So down here, we can see our number of customer meetings, our units sold, order value, and I
love tables.
00:03:05 So I'm just going to take a second and even just format a bit more. So I'm going to come over
here,

17
00:03:09 I'm going to change it over, make it into my nice report styling.
00:03:15 And then what I'm going to do is take a look at my number of customer meetings,
00:03:22 and I want to display this now as a threshold. So what you can do is just right-click,
00:03:28 and you can add a brand-new threshold. So based upon the number of customer meetings,
00:03:33 what I want to do is say that any time you're having less than five meetings or ten meetings
00:03:38 with the customer, let's mark that in red. So I'm going to make it red and I'm going to say
00:03:42 any time that it's less than ten, we're going to show this in red now.
00:03:47 You could also name that threshold if you wanted to. So you can come in here and say I want to
00:03:52 call this to be the number of required meetings, and click Apply.
00:04:02 And now we'll have the option, you can see here it's immediately highlighting it.
00:04:06 So through that, you can see in red how this is all displaying.
00:04:10 You can also format how this looks. So instead of doing the red text,
00:04:14 you also have the option of saying, let's go ahead and modify this,
00:04:22 and let's change it from being the color to being a symbol. So you can have it displayed that way.
00:04:28 You could also do it as a colored background. You could do it as a colored background without
the values.
00:04:32 So you have a number of formatting options as you're doing this.
00:04:35 And as you're adding these types of intelligent insights, look how much better this dashboard is.
00:04:40 Now we have better context about who's actually performing. It still remains responsive as I'm
switching
00:04:46 through everything, so I could jump back and forth, and you'll see that if it has data for that period
of time,
00:04:51 you'll that it actually shows the different variances as I move through it.
00:04:57 The other thing I wanted to talk about is where we're getting into conditional formatting.
00:05:01 So with conditional formatting, we've gone ahead and done a little bit with that threshold,
00:05:06 but you can also assign colors. So this means that you could say
00:05:09 I always want one specific dimension to be colored a certain way.
00:05:13 So let's say if the customer status is a perspective customer, we always want to make them
00:05:20 into the color red. Now that means when it's linked up the chart color
00:05:24 with different things, it'll show it in red every time. So amongst these different options you have
00:05:29 quite a bit where you can start visually telling them how to react to these things.
00:05:33 So your status might be good, bad, awful, whatever, or it might be something numeric,
00:05:37 and either way we've got you covered. Dimension or measure, you can start adding
00:05:41 some really good context into your stories.

18
Week 1 Unit 7

00:00:05 We've built out our dashboard, we have some good insights in it,
00:00:09 we're figuring out what's happening in the previous quarters, and we can do quite a bit of
interactivity.
00:00:14 Now for some, they're done at this point, and that's a most depressing thing
00:00:18 because this is the best part. We're going to now make it pretty.
00:00:22 So my background was in 2D and 3D computer animation, so adding colors and adding a little bit
of flare
00:00:28 is where, for me, this all comes alive. So let's talk about what options you have.
00:00:33 We talked about it briefly in the previous section about this formatting panel.
00:00:38 This is my best friend, my secret lover. So as we come through here,
00:00:42 we have the ability to do quite a bit of formatting. First off, we can create our own color palettes.
00:00:47 I like to use a little bit brighter blue, so that's a little fun for me, but if I wanted to,
00:00:52 I could go ahead and build out a brand-new color palette and adjust it to whatever colors look
best to me.
00:00:59 And those swatches, that color palette, is reusable across all of your charts inside of your story.
00:01:05 Now, what I can also do right from here, from the formatting panel,
00:01:09 is we could choose what we want for the font sizes, the colors, everything like that.
00:01:14 When I come through, one of the things I will first look at is, structurally, what do I want to have as
the color theme?
00:01:21 So I'm going to change my entire color of my theme, and I'm going to make it something a little bit
more blue.
00:01:29 So that's a nice blue. And then I have, with my responsive lanes,
00:01:34 the ability to change each lane color individually. So I'll make this one color, and then this,
00:01:40 let's make this a nice, cool gray, and we're starting to have something
00:01:44 that looks a little bit more structural. And then I'm going to take these
00:01:48 and just make them white colored for all of them, for the text,
00:01:53 so it can pop a little better on that background. And what I also want to do is start adding in
00:02:00 some of my own logos and branding. So we'll go ahead and add in an image,
00:02:06 and I'm going to upload my own logo now from my desktop. And there we go.
00:02:18 So this is starting to look quite a bit better to me. Nice, so now, if I go into my View mode,
00:02:32 you can see what this would look like to an end user. So we've got this nice little structure now:
00:02:37 a blue bar on the top, a gray navigation bar for getting around,
00:02:42 and then the white main area for all of our content. I'm going to clean this up a little bit more
afterwards,
00:02:48 so when you look through the materials, you'll see something a little bit more
00:02:50 further along from the visual style, but this just gives you an idea of how we can start.
00:02:55 Now, I want to talk about individual styling. So, as I'm looking at this numeric point,
00:03:00 there's some things about it, there's a lot going on, I don't need the .00 information,
00:03:05 I don't need the large scale and we can have it where it dynamically does it for us.
00:03:09 So instead of using the default scale, I'm going to use the auto-formatted scale
00:03:13 and see, it's switching it over to that now. And I could also choose to show it
00:03:17 in abbreviated format, so that's a lot nicer, right? And if I wanted to, I could also say,
00:03:23 I want to bring this down just to one decimal place. You could do this with all of your charts,
00:03:28 where you could make them where they're auto- scaling or where you're controlling the number of
decimal places

19
00:03:32 and formatting it further like this. So I'll just go ahead and hide the decimal places from that one,
00:03:40 and that's already looking quite a bit nicer. Now, I also will come through
00:03:45 and I might format some of these charts to hide some of the unnecessary information.
00:03:49 For my geo map, I'm going to go ahead and just hide everything, leaving my legend and maybe
my scale hidden as well.
00:03:56 So we've got it now where it's a much more simplified geo map sitting here, and you saw before,
00:04:02 as we were going through with the geo map, your ability where you can format it and change out
00:04:05 what that base map is, making it look very different. With the table, you also have quite a bit of
control.
00:04:12 You saw previously how we changed it over to use our report styling,
00:04:16 so you could use alternating rows or a generic one, or, again, my favorite probably, the report
styling one.
00:04:25 So we're just going through and making a number of these small design changes.
00:04:30 Now, what if you wanted to make these changes across everything all at once?
00:04:34 You can do that as well. So we've set up this the way that we want it,
00:04:39 but we also could have gone through and done this right from the Preferences panel.
00:04:43 So if you saw up there, I went to that wrench icon, went to Preferences, and now look at this.
00:04:50 You can actually set, across the board, how you're going to have things set up.
00:04:54 So I could choose what's going to be my default color palette, and I could customize it, so I could
say,
00:04:58 this one's going to be my default or this one right here, and you can choose, for your continuous
palettes,
00:05:04 for your waterfall charts, every single part of this, you can start customizing out.
00:05:08 You can say how you want to format your tables, your fonts, your text, everything.
00:05:12 So you can create your own branding and styling. And once you're done, you can optionally
00:05:17 have it applied to everything. So once I click OK, this is going to wipe out
00:05:20 all the formatting and replace it with it, or just to new pages as they come forward.
00:05:26 Then, when you're done, you could also save it as a corporate template.
00:05:30 So we have this nice BestRun blue and gray, these are our corporate colors, I want everyone else
to start
00:05:35 from those same corporate colors. Well, you could go ahead and save this out as a template.
00:05:40 So we'll make this the new BestRun Template, and as I'm doing it, you can also say whether or
not
00:05:49 the images stay or if they're replaced with placeholders. Since it's my logo and I don't want you to
change it,
00:05:55 I'm just going to keep it as is, and as I save it, now it's going to go and build out my own corporate
template.
00:06:02 And if I wanted to, I can now see it underneath my layouts. So inside of here, you can see
00:06:08 we have a number of different templates, and I can also have my own templates added in here.
00:06:13 So I could see a listing of everything, and then I could use any of those templates
00:06:16 as I'm building out my reports. So these are just some of the styling and theming options
00:06:21 that you have available here.
