A. Does your site have a written policy manual?


Yes, the Lenovo employee site contains all code of conduct guidelines.

B. Do the employees have to keep some type of Time Card?


Electronically or on paper.
Yes, all CTG/Lenovo employees fill out an electronic time sheet at the end of each
week.

C. Do employees have to log in/out in and for meals?


No, lunch time is very flexible.

D. What is the sites employees’ attendance policy/procedure? Briefly


explain.
Regular scheduled working hours are a designated block of consecutive working
hours, exclusive of the meal period, per day. The total number of work hours in a
work week is usually 40 but may vary by country. Your manager will inform you
of your normal work schedule. An absence is defined as the hours you are not
working during your normal scheduled work day (exclusive of breaks and the meal
period).

E. Is there a social media policy? If so, what is it?


There is no specific social media policy, but social media falls under all harassment
policies.

F. What is the dress code for your internship site?


The dress code is loosely enforced, but it’s mainly business casual and casual on
Fridays.
G. Give me a few reasons an employee can be punished, put on
probation, or dismissed. Please specify which action above that you
are explaining.
An employee can be punished for bribery, harassment, alcohol and substance
abuse, conflicts of interest, and leaking of company data/information. An
employee can be terminated based on the severity of these violations. Excessive
tardiness and absenteeism may result in disciplinary action, including termination.

H. What is the personal cell phone use policy/rule at your site?


It is okay to use your personal cell phone while working, as long as you don’t
break any other policies using it.

I. What is the internship sites smoking policy?


There is no smoking allowed while on the job, in the building, or operating Lenovo
property (including company vehicles).

J. What is the sites drug policy?


Lenovo expects employees to report to work able to perform their duties and free
from the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or the abuse of prescribed or over-the-
counter drugs. Using, possessing, buying, or selling illegal drugs or abusing
controlled substances while on the job, on Lenovo premises, operating Lenovo
property (including company vehicles) or engaging in Lenovo business is
prohibited and is grounds for disciplinary action, including termination of
employment.
