Dear Ma’am,

Good day. It took me a ton of courage just to write this plea and express how much I wanted to
retain my scholarship. I am really glad to have been blessed with the privilege of being one of
the EDC- Local CAREER Scholars. Sad to say, I have failed to meet the competencies required to
maintain it but I am still hoping and praying that you can reconsider because I really wanted to
be in this program and I will do my best to stay.

They say you do not know what is important to you until it is gone. Now I understand why losing
this scholarship left a void in my heart. I finally understand how much this scholarship really
mean to me. My only wish in the world right now is for you to give me one more chance. I am
willing to sacrifice my comfort in life and go some more extra mile just to have this scholarship.
If you’re going to accept my plea, I promise not to waste this chance again.
