3 πάντα δι᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐγένετο, καὶ χωρὶς αὐτοῦ ἐγένετο οὐδὲ ἕν. ὃ γέγονεν

“There was a man sent from God, his name was John.”

“who, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but from God are
begotten.”
14 Καὶ ὁ λόγος σὰρξ ἐγένετο καὶ ἐσκήνωσεν ἐν ἡμῖν, καὶ ἐθεασάμεθα τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ, δόξαν
ὡς μονογενοῦς παρὰ πατρός, πλήρης χάριτος καὶ ἀληθείας.
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory just as the
only-begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
