Notes
The Common LISP Hypermedia Server was not included in this survey because it is an experimental research tool.
EIT's Webmaster's Starter Kit Server was not included because it is an extension to NCSA's server.
I found some web-related value-add servers (like A+ Texture) which are not included here, even though they have neat features.
I didn't include GLACI HTTPD for Novell Netware,by Great Lakes Area Commercial Internet,http://www.glaci.com/info/glaci-httpd.html, because all I know is it is a Netware Loadable Module.
I didn't include Netwings by Netwings because they are not letting us onto their website, so I don't know their features.
MDMA by Simon Spero looks interesting - very fast -- but it is pre-alpha. See http://sunsite.unc.edu/mdma-release/mdma.html.

Explanation of other features

CGI homepage: the home page can be generated by a CGI script rather than being a predefined HTML page
Wrapping: one HTML file can "wrap" another. Requires serve-time parsing of files.
Ranges: can serve a range of lines from a file
ASCII->HTML: converts ascii documents on-the-fly
Pricing: includes per-document pricing options, billing and tracking logs
