Duoc UC ENGLISH PROGRAM

This Practice for the TOEIC BRIDGE™ Test is a collaboration between Oxford University Press and
DuocUC. It is designed to integrate TOEIC BRIDGE™ Test practice into all levels of the DuocUC English
Program.

About the DuocUC English Program

Led by TEFL-certified instructors, the DuocUC English program emphasizes development of all four
language skills (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) via a communicative approach carried out in
small groups. The Program offers students the opportunity to improve their English language skills as a
work-force competency, while systematically preparing for the TOEIC BRIDGE™ Test.

About the TOEIC BRIDGE™ Test

The TOEIC BRIDGE™ Test is the ideal starting point on the path to workplace success for English
language learners. It measures the listening and reading comprehension skills used in an international
environment. Universities, corporations and government agencies worldwide use the TOEIC BRIDGE™
Test to assess English-language proficiency. It is composed of 100 multiple-choice questions and is
divided into two sections: Listening and Reading. There are 50 questions in each section. The test itself
takes 60 minutes.

In addition to being an internationally-recognized benchmark examination, the TOEIC BRIDGE™ Test is

used by DuocUC to measure individual progress and to provide access to an internationally-recognized
certificate for all participants.

This Practice for the TOEIC BRIDGE™ Test section for American English File provides contextualized
review of specific TOEIC BRIDGE™ skills for each File. Opportunities to practice all skills are covered
within this section. The complete TOEIC BRIDGE™ Test has the following parts:

Listening
Part I: Photographs (15 questions)
Part II: Question-Response (20 questions)
Part III: Short Conversations and Short Talks (15 questions)

Reading
Part IV: Incomplete Sentences (30 questions)
Part V: Reading Comprehension (20 questions)

We hope this material enhances TOEIC BRIDGE™ Test performance.

Good luck!

Dear all,
Your children’s school year finishes for summer break this Friday, July 3rd. But the school
