Eric: This is the national cocktail of Brazil and is served in almost all bars and
restaurants there. Two of its ingredients are made from sugarcane, and it's said that
the drink originates in the countryside of São Paulo state.

Eric: A batida is a cocktail made of an alcohol, a fruit, and condensed milk. Basically
any fruit can be used, but the most popularly seen are passionfruit, coconut, lime,
strawberry, and pineapple. The alcohol in a batida is most often cachaça or vodka.
Eric: The batida is a sweet drink, and it's not very strong.

Eric: Brazil is the largest exporter of orange juice, producing more than half of the
world's orange juice supply. The production is concentrated in São Paulo state, and the
country exports 99% of its production.
