Introduction
Welcome to Learn French for Beginners! 1000+ Easy Vocabulary! Thank you for purchasing this
book, and we wish you the best of luck on your journey to learning the beautiful language that is French.
Why learn French? Great question! Other than the fact that it is, in my opinion, one of the most
beautiful sounding languages, French is one of the most spoken languages around the world. From
Europe, to Canada, and many African countries, French is everywhere. Not to mention, France itself is a
beautifully scenic country and a great place to visit. Trust me, the food there is delicious! I would
recommend anyone who has the opportunity to visit this beautiful country filled with kind people and
delicious food to go for it! And what better way to be ready than by starting to learn introductory French!
So, whether you are planning to learn French for travel, to talk to friends, to spend a semester
abroad, or simply to consume more French media, this audiobook is a great way to start your journey to
learning French!
Each chapter is filled with useful vocabulary to help you get a basic understanding of everyday
French words. At the beginning of these chapters will be a mini introduction explaining where these
words are useful, why you need to learn them, and in some cases some special rules. First, the word will
be said in English, then in French, followed by a 3-second pause (in the audiobook version). I highly
recommend that you try repeating the French word out loud during this pause so that you can get some
practice! The word will then be repeated one more time before moving on to the next word.
The chapter titled “Basic Sentences” near the end of the book brings all these words together.
Also, at the end of every chapter we have included mini-tests, but don’t get discouraged if you can’t ace it
the first time, this is a book for beginners after all!
Finally, At the very end of this book, we have added a list of the 500 most frequently used French
words. This section is less organized and more suited for passive learning. For example, you can listen to
it while you drive or while you sleep.

Numbers
Now it’s time to learn numbers! The French number system is pretty intuitive once you get the
hang of it. For this reason, starting at the number 20 we will start jumping by intervals of 10 (so, 20, 30,
40, etc). This is because the same pattern repeats. For example, 3 in French is Trois, and 20 is Vingt.
So if you want to say 23 you would say vingt-trois. And the same is true for 33, trente-trois. Okay, let's
start. (Allons-y!!)

Introduction
Welcome to Easy French Phrases for Beginners: 500+ Useful French Phrases You Can Use
Daily! Thank you for purchasing this book, and we wish you the best of luck on your journey to learning
the beautiful language that is French.
Each chapter will teach you useful French phrases that you can use in your daily life! Remember,
the most important thing when learning a new language is to practice, practice, practice! That is why this
book includes over 500 useful French phrases to help you study.
At the beginning of each chapter, there will be a mini introduction explaining where and in what
situation you can use these French phrases.
First, the phrase will be said in English, then in French, followed by a pause (audiobook version).
It is extremely important that you try repeating the French phrases out loud during this pause so that you
can get some practice!
The French phrases will then be repeated a second time, but this time the phrase will be spoken
at normal conversational speed. Once again, I encourage you to repeat the entire sentence in French to
get more speaking practice.
The topics and phrases we will cover in this book are:
Meeting people: This is useful in your everyday life when meeting new people, acquaintances,
and friends. A must learn when starting out your French language journey.
At the restaurant: Did you know that the French love their food? What about cafes? That is why
this chapter is extremely useful to learn. We will learn phrases that will help you order in French, ask
questions about the menu, and thrive in any French Cafe.
Shopping: This chapter will help you navigate shopping in French! It includes useful phrases for
both grocery shopping and personal shopping.
Travel: If you ever have ambitions of traveling to France or any French-speaking country for that
matter, this chapter is for you. We will cover all of the phrases you need to know to feel comfortable
traveling abroad.
Around the house: This chapter is great because it will allow you to practice useful French
phrases simply by looking around the house! This chapter is a great chance to get your French-speaking
practice in.
At work or School: Finally, this last chapter includes French phrases you would use in a more
professional or academic environment. As such, some of these phrases are more advanced than the
beginner phrases of previous chapters.
Practice and Review: At the very end of this book we included a review section for you to
practice all of the French phrases you have learned throughout this book! This chapter is also useful if
you want to review and practice all of the phrases you have learned while doing house chores or other
tasks.
By the time you get through this book, you will be able to use useful French phrases in your
everyday life! However, for that to happen, you have to remember to repeat the French phrases out loud
throughout this book. It really does help your brain to memorise the new phrases if you are actively
learning instead of passively learning.
Also, at the end of every chapter (audiobook version), there will be a mini-test to help you
practice. Don’t worry if you can’t answer everything correctly the first time, this is a book for beginners
after all!
Finally, whenever you hear me say “Allons-y” this means “Let’s start” or “let’s go” in French.
Again, I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but please do not forget to speak these
French phrases out loud. I promise it will help your memorization and pronunciation to actively practice
along with me.
I will make sure to leave some space after saying the French phrases so you don’t need to worry
about missing the next word while you practice. Okay enough talk, let’s get started, Allons-y!
Meeting People
Okay, let’s start learning useful French phrases that we can use in our everyday life! This chapter
is full of phrases that you can use when meeting people; such as friends, family, or acquaintances! Don’t

talk let’s jump right in, allons-y!

Introduction
Welcome to French verbs for Beginners: Everyday useful verbs to improve your French! Thank
you for trying this book, and we wish you the best of luck on your journey to learning the beautiful
language that is French.
Each chapter will teach you useful French verbs you need to get started with speaking, reading,
and writing in French. At the beginning of each chapter there will be a mini introduction explaining where
these verbs are used, as well as any special cases or rules about that verb.
First, the verb will be said in English, then in French, followed by a pause. It is extremely
important that you try repeating the French verb out loud during this pause so that you can get some
practice! After learning how to conjugate that verb depending on who is the subject (I, you, they, etc.) we
will go over some example questions in French. Once again, I encourage you to repeat the entire
sentence in French to get more familiar with the verbs. For each verb we teach, we will show you how to
use it in the present, past, and future. That way you can comfortably talk in any situation.
Here are the verb tenses we will cover in this book to get you started:
Indicatif Présent: This is used to express what you are doing in the present tense, and also to
ask questions. For example: “Je vais au marché”, “ I am going to the market.” In this case je vais, I am
going, is the indicatif présent form of the verb aller.
Imparfait: This verb tense is used when speaking about the past. Well, that's not quite the whole
story. Infact, there are two main past tenses used in French: L’imparfait and le passé composé.
However, since this is a beginner’s book on French verbs, and l’imparfait is used more commonly
when speaking (le passé composé is found more when writing), we decided to keep it to l’imparfait to
start you off with. Don’t worry, this will not hinder you when speaking French! And we will cover le passé
composé in our intermediate book.
Ok, with all of that out of the way, here is an example of the past tense l’imparfait: j’allais au
marcher. I went to the market. j’allais, I went, is l’imparfait, the past tense of the verb aller.
Futur simple: This tense is used when you are speaking about the future. For example: J’irai au
marché demain. I will go to the market tomorrow. J’irai, I will go, is le Futur Simple, the future tense of
the verb aller.
I know this seems pretty confusing now, but don’t worry about it! By the time you get through this
book, you will be able to use French verbs like a pro. We will go over all of the important verbs tense by
tense, and soon enough you will start seeing the pattern. It just takes a little practice at first but I promise
you, you will get it easily after that!
Like we mentioned before, with these three verb tenses you will be able to start speaking
confidently in French. There are many other verb tenses for different specific situations, but as a
beginner, it is important to focus on these three at first, since they can be used in most situations, and will
give you confidence to go out there and start practicing.
Finally, whenever you hear me say “allons-y” this means “Let’s start” or “let’s go” in French.
Please do not forget to repeat after me when learning these French verbs. I promise it will help your
memorization and pronunciation to actively practice along with me. I will make sure to leave some space
after saying the French verbs so you don’t need to worry about missing the next word while you practice.
Okay enough talk, let’s get started, allons-y!
