Verbal Simple Past Tense
Verbs in tenses consist of three forms, namely verb 1, verb 2, and verb
3. In this case, as a simple past tense sentence, what will fill the
predicate position is verb 2 or the second verb. This means that this
verb is no longer the basic one, it has changed form because it is
influenced by time (past). Verbs in the verbal simple past tense are
not influenced by the subject. So, whatever the subject, the verb
form will remain the same.
