Information
In some trim gauge applications a condition may exist where the trim gauge needle does not register
full down when the drive is in its full down position and/or there is a delay of needle movement in excess
of 2 seconds. To achieve the best possible down position reading, with minimal delay in needle move-
ment, please follow the procedure below.
Adjustment Procedure
1. Trim drive to full down position.
2. Loosen the trim sender retaining screws.
3. With the key on, rotate the trim sender clockwise to the end of the adjusting slots.
4. Slowly rotate trim sender counterclockwise until the gauge pointer just starts to move.
5. Rotate trim sender slightly clockwise then tighten the trim sender retaining screws to 24 in.lb.
(2.7 Nm).
NOTE! After following this procedure, if full down needle positioning is unacceptable, the trim gauge will
have to be replaced.
