This is the second national conference and this year’s theme is “AKTU as a Living Model for a
Sustainable Humane Society”. It is organized by the AKTU Value Education Cell through
TEQIP-3.
This conference is to share and discuss the work at the national level to help develop further
momentum for human, value-based education in India.
Through such conferences and other efforts, the much-needed value education is proliferating
in quite a natural manner from university to university. Today there are more than 50 universities
which have included UHV in their academic curriculum. Since 2018, AICTE has included UHV in
its Model Curriculum applicable country-wide. It is to be offered as an essential 3-credit course
(H-102) in 3rd/4th semester; as well as a prominent module (H-101) in the student induction
program.
