This document discusses and compares two types of communication: mediated interpersonal communication and mass communication. Both types aim to disseminate messages to large, dispersed audiences but through different processes. Mediated interpersonal communication involves technological devices to send and receive messages directly between individuals. Mass communication relies on large organizations to broadcast messages through networks to audiences without direct feedback. Understanding the similarities and differences between these types is important for using communication effectively to inform wide audiences.

lesson it only talks about two types which are mediated interpersonal communication and mass communication. These two types are very much interrelated. Both of them brings messages to a large and widely dispersed audiences but they have different steps or processes.
Mediated interpersonal communication
involves technological devices and other devices. Technology becomes the channel by which the message is sent or received. The source of message is the person who sent the message herself through devices and the feedback would be the returned messages or calls. However, the central idea in Mass communication is the involvement of the huge organizations. The messages are carried out by networks and the feedback would be the people who understand and supported the message. There is no direct feedback from the audience.
The importance to study both of these type of
communication is to know their similarities and differences. It is also important to know that both of these types can be used to reach a wide variety of audience and influence and persuade the audience to support the message that you are telling them. For example, you need to find your missing pet dog then you can use these two types of communication. First, through technological devices, you can call other friends or text people and notify them that your dog is missing and you are looking for it. Second, is if you are rich then you can go to a television network and ask them to notify people during the news part about the missing dog and if they happen to know where the dog is then contact you immediately.
