Happy Holidays! The countdown is on to Famously Hot New Year on December 31. Join me at Main and
Gervais in Columbia, S.C. for a free evening of joyous festivities and the biggest New Year’s
Eve fireworks display in South Carolina, right over our historic S.C. State House!

The lineup of entertainment this year includes a mix of ideal sounds for all types of music-loving festival-
goers. We are honored to welcome ‘90s vocal icons and one of the top 5 highest selling female American
music groups in history, En Vogue, as this year’s headliner! Our beloved Soda City Brass Band will
support, bringing vibrant sounds straight from the streets of New Orleans, and Charleston’s quirky indie
hip-hop group Little Stranger will open the show.

Each New Year’s Eve, the city is bursting with spirit. Crowds from around our region, the nation and the
globe gather together in our great city to ring in 2019. Out-of-towners and resident “staycation-ers” alike
are planning to explore the animated streets of Columbia’s downtown lifestyle districts for an inviting
retreat, which will culminate with Famously Hot New Year, the celebration of the year!

In addition to having a bevy of food from local vendors and beer, wine and bubbly, new for 2018 will
be Escapology Columbia’s mobile “Hot Seat” experience — a solo escape game in the midst of the
event where competitors must solve different puzzles in an 8' x 8' room in just two minutes. Are you up for
the challenge?

Another perk? Transportation options to and from the event are simple and affordable! You can ride The
COMET for just $3 flat and head home in an Alert Cab, where the first $10 of each fare will be
complimentary, thanks to KW Beverage and Budweiser.
