IDEA
To create a Smart Dustbin for office purpose that would be a perfect smart fit for offices
as it is built to fullfill every need in a smarter way minimizing human efforts at a very
low price it has been loaded with several features such as:
-> It opens and shuts by itself using an ultrasonic sensor as it sense anything it sends
data to aurdino which comprises of all commands and give a command to motor that is
responsible to open dustbin shutter.
-> It shows realtime level of dustbin filled as ultrasonic sensor sense the depth upto
which the dustbin is filled and sense data to aurdino which sends data to mobile as a
notifications on Blynk app. In Blynk app there are three lights that are indicate level of
garbage in dustbin where red is for extremely field.
-> It has a air quality monitoring system which shows air quality and a system
which show room temperature of office.
-> It also shows analytical graph which would be usefull for waste
management team .
-> It self dumps garbage by driving itself to main dustbin of floor by using ROS
navigation as it build maps of room in which it is present using Gmapping
technique by taking data through kinect sensor and drives using dc motors.
MOTIVATION
To build a smart dustbin to improve how waste is
managed in a efficient and smart manner where user has
to do minimal work as user dont even need to open and
shut the cap or dump trash. It would send data to waste
management team for analytic purposes to waste
management team as if to know further requirements of
dustbin size or if dustbin has to be replaced according

mangement hence giving better user experience and a
smarter way to deal with trash .
