How To Use BDO Nomura Online Trading Platform

1. Go to http://www.bdo.com.ph/bdonomura Click on Online Trading Login at the upper right


corner of the webpage.
2. You will be redirected to the login page. Kindly enter your BDO Online Banking user ID and
password to enter the BDO Nomura Transactional Page.
3. You will be prompted to enter the One-Time Password (OTP) which will be sent to your
registered mobile number.
4. TRANSACTIONAL PAGE. This is the main navigation page. It is divided into 11 sections:
a. Equity Trading
b. My Portfolio
c. Transactional Ledger
d. Market Research
e. Tutorial
f. IPO
g. Cash Deposit
h. Cash Withdrawal
i. FAQ
j. Enroll for USD
k. Enroll for Margin Trading
5. EQUITY TRADING. This is the main trading page. You can monitor the movement of the Equity
stock market, place Equity transactions online and amend/cancel the Equity transactions.

B. Top Panel shows the Total Volume and Total Turnover of the Equity Market, Market
Session, User Preferences, Customer Code and Name of Investor.
C. Function Menu Bar shows some of the features of BDO Nomura Online Trading Platform

D. Market Watch Panel shows the real time movement of the stocks in the market.
a. Active Watchlist is a list box that displays the list of watchlists you created.

b. You can customized the columns displayed from the watchlist by clicking Edit
Columns.

c. You can search for your desired stock by keying in the stock code or company name
in the search box.
E. TICKER. This shows the real-time transactions in the market. You can access the Ticker by
clicking the symbol “T” on the upper right corner.

F. USER PREFERENCES. This serves as your “Settings”. You can manage the following:
a. Change Theme
b. Increase and Decrease the speed of the Ticker
c. Customize the ticker to display the stocks
i. Only the stocks that are in investor’s portfolio.
ii. Only stocks belongs to one/more sectors
G. TRADE. When you click the Trade button, the drop down list will appear as follows:

a. Buy Order. To enter a BUY order, the following can be done:


i. Click the BUY button on the Market Watch Panel or (select a stock from market
watch, right-click and select BUY).
ii. Select “Trade” then click BUY ORDER. The Buy Order will be displayed in BLUE.
iii. Buy order entry opens when you press F2.
iv. Fill in the mandatory fields, and click BUY.

b. Sell Order. To enter a SELL order, the following can be done:


i. Click the SELL button on the Market Watch Panel or (select a stock from market
watch, right-click and select SELL).
ii. Select “Trade” then click SELL ORDER. The Sell Order will be displayed in RED.
iii. Sell order entry opens when you press F3.
iv. Fill in the mandatory fields, and click SELL.

c. Order Book. This screen displays all your orders including those placed by other
Traders.

d. Cancel Order. Click on the “X” button to cancel the selected order. This button is
enabled only if the status of the order selected is ‘Pending’ or ‘Partially Executed’
e. Revise Order. This button opens an order entry window for modification of the
selected order. This is enabled only if the status of the order selected is ‘Pending’ or
‘Partially Executed’

f. Executed Orders. This screen displays all the executed orders of an investor. It
includes all orders of the Investor including those placed by other Traders.

g. Trade Book. This screen displays the trades by the investor. It includes all trades
done by the investor or by a trader on behalf of the investor.
h. Trade Positions. This screen provides a consolidated view of all trades done as an
investor. There are 3 modes in which this information can be displayed as given
below:
i. Trade View,
ii. Order View, and
iii. PNL View

i. The following Validity Types may be used when making orders:


i. Day Order (Day) - remains valid until the end of the Trading Day
ii. Good Toll Cancelled (GTC) - remains valid until cancelled by the user or until
it reaches the set expiration date of the instrument
iii. Good Till Date (GTD) - remains valid until the date specified when the order
was entered
iv. Fill-and-Kill Orders (FAK) - also known as "execute-and-eliminate orders".
Any remaining unexecuted portion of a FAK order will be eliminated.
H. MY ACCOUNT. When you click the My Account button, the drop down list will appear as
follows:

a. Buying Power Summary. It is a statement that reflects your purchasing power. It


displays the buying power sources, usage and the buying power available for trading.
i. Buying Power Sources – This value is the total buying power available for
trading. It is the sum of the Cash Receivables, Stock margins and Credit
ii. Buying Power Used - This is the buying power blocked due to trading. It is the
sum of Equity Purchase and Equity Trading Losses
iii. Buying Power - This value constitutes of Current Balance + Buying Power
Sources + Adhoc Credits + Buying Power Usage.
b. Equity Holding. This reflects the stock holdings based on the trading activities. It helps
to get a consolidated view of the number of stocks that is available as well as the stock
positions, which are under settlement.

c. Cash Statement. The cash statement displays balances in the investor’s cash account. It
enables the investor to know the settlement credits and debits.
I. WATCHLIST. You can create a set of potential stocks opportunities to monitor by creating a
watchlist. The system allows you to create up to 10 watchlists.

J. MARKET.

a. Notifications. The notifications are order and trade confirmation from the system
and exchanges.
b. Market Statistics. This screen provides a list of the top 10 makers in the market
considering various factors as given below:
1. Advances/Declines
i. Top 10 Gainers
ii. Top 10 Losers
2. Most Active
i. Top 10 by Value
ii. Top 10 by Volume
3. Market movement
i. Top 10 by number of Trades
ii. Market Statistics
c. Sector Watch. You can monitor the real time movement of the sectors as available
and defined in the exchange.

d. Market Depth. This screen will display the bid/ask of a stock. Apart from the market
depth information this screen will display the intraday chart and market information,
details and statistics. You can access this screen in any of the following ways:
i. Select a stock from market watch, right-click and select ‘Market Depth’ from
the menu displayed.
ii. Select Market -> ‘Market Depth’.
iii. Select Trade -> Buy, Market Depth will be displayed along with order entry.
iv. Select Trade -> Sell, Market Depth will be displayed along with order entry.
e. Market Depth Matrix. This screen will display the bid/ask of multiple stocks.

K. ANALYSIS.

6. MY PORTFOLIO. Portfolio analysis view to monitor the unrealized gain/loss of the stocks available
in holding statement.
A. Fill in the details and click Submit. The system will open a new window containing your
Unrealized Gain/Loss.

7. TRANSACTIONAL LEDGER. This displays the transactions based on the selected transaction type:
Buy, Sell, Official Receipt (OR) and Statement of Accounts.
8. MARKET RESEARCH. Easy access to Equity Market Research information and reports. It covers
companies that represent all key sectors and the core research verticals such as Fundamental,
Technical, Economic and Quantitative.

9. TUTORIAL. In this area, you can view user manuals, Online Trading and Equity Market Research
Guide for quick reference.
10. INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING (IPO). Click IPO to subscribe for an IPO and amend/cancel the IPO
transactions.
A. Choose the stock you want to subscribe with.
B. Fill in the necessary details.
C. Click Subscribe and your subscription will automatically go to IPO Order Book.

11. CASH DEPOSIT. To transfer funds from your Beneficiary Account to your BDO Nomura Settlement
Account (Trading Account), follow these steps:

B. To view the available balance of your Beneficiary Account, click View Balance.
C. Enter the amount to fund
D. Click Deposit. An approval notice will appear and will automatically reflect on your Buying
Power.
E. Click Acknowledgement to view your transaction details.
12. CASH WITHDRAWAL. To withdraw funds from your BDO Nomura Settlement Account (Trading
Account) to your registered Beneficiary Account, follow these steps:
A. Enter the amount to withdraw
B. Click Withdraw. An approval notice will appear and will automatically reflect on your
Beneficiary Account.
C. Click Acknowledgement to view your transaction details.
