Bodies In The Cellar

After a hard days adventuring, the heroes have made their way to the local tavern for a
soft bed, warm meal and full tankard of ale.

“What?! No beer?” Rordin jumped. “Is that supposed to be a joke?”

“I'm sorry” the host seemed worried. “The cleric should arrive in two days. But until
then the cellar must remain sealed.”

“Cleric?” Madriga enquired.

Danor focused his magical senses towards the cellar. A moment later, he looked up,
with a slightly disgusted look. “Undead”.

“What?!” Rordin drew his axe. “No shambling corpse stands between me and my beer!”

“Shush. not so loud!” The host waved over the adventurers and led them to the cellar.
“Fine, if it’s beer you want. Enter if you dare.”

Aftermath

If the Overlord wins, read the

following:

Madriga pointed to a light shaft. It

was a tight fit and they’d have to
leave their belongings to make it
through, but if they hurried, they
might escape from the tavern host
and his necromancy before he
noticed their escape.

If the Heroes wins, read the following:

Although the cellar under the inn was very old, there were far too many corpses, and the undead
had no place here. Someone must have brought them here, alive or dead, and resurrected them.

“The host!” Growled Rordin. “No beer and now necromancy…I knew there was something not
quite right about him when we first met him.”

The host hadn’t counted on anyone surviving his cellar. Too bad, life here had pleased him. But a
similar incident had taught him to move on, His servants prepared the carriage as he collected his
most important belongings. He would be long over all the mountains before the adventures found
their way back to the tavern surface.
