Obviously, there are a lot of diving and snorkeling spots to choose from in this vast waters.
Among these are at the Kabui Passage (the very narrow passage between Waigeo and Gam Island
crossed by renowned British explorer, Alfred Russell Wallace in 1860), around
the Arborek Island’s Dock, Sawandarek, Yenbuba, Friwen Wall, and many-many more.

Aside from its endless fascinating natural attractions, Raja Ampat also offers the distinct
hospitality of the Papuan. At the Arborek Tourism Village, you can stay at a number of
homestays and mingle with the locals whilst observing their daily life and unique traditions.

Diponegoro was a Javanese prince who opposed the Dutch rule in Indonesia. He was the
eldest son of Sultan Hamengku Bowono III. Diponegoro was born in Yogyakarta in 1785 and
died in Makasar in 1855.
During the Dutch rule, a ruler like his father had lost many rights such as the ability to
lease land. Instead, he was paid by the Dutch to keep peace. This was an indignity to his father.
This led to an open battle headed by Diponegoro, which was called the Java War. It lasted for
five years, from 1825 until 1830. During that period Diponegoro, using guerrilla tactics, had
successfully led battles, ambushing Dutch camps and raiding food supplies. Over the period
of five years, more than 200,000 people were dead because of the war.
In March 1830 Diponegoro was invited to negotiate under a flag of truce. He accepted
but was taken prisoner on 28 March despite the flag of truce. He was arrested and sent away
by the Dutch to Manado, then moved to Ujung Pandang, and he spent the rest of his life
there. After being held by the Dutch in Fort Rotterdam in Ujung Pandang for 25 years, he died

The lion said to all the animals in the forest that if one of them will come to him as his meal

Then he thought and made a plan in his mind and took little longer to go to the lion. The lion

Jungle and he wants to meet you.” After hearing this all from the rabbit he got angry and roared
“Do you know where he lives?” The rabbit replied “yes, sir. Please come with me.” The rabbit

The following text is for questions 23-26.

Alexander Graham Bell was a Scottish-born American scientist and inventor, most famous
for his pioneering work on the development of the telephone. He was born on 3 March 1847 in
Edinburgh and educated there and in London. At the age of 16 Bell himself began researching the
mechanics of speech. In 1870, Bell immigrated with his family to Canada, and the following year
he moved to the United States to teach. There he pioneered a system called visible speech,
developed by his father, to teach deaf-mute children. In 1872 Bell founded a school in Boston to
train teachers of the deaf. The school subsequently became part of Boston University, where Bell
was appointed professor of vocal physiology in 1873. He became a naturalized U.S. citizen in
1882.
Bell had long been fascinated by the idea of transmitting speech, and by 1875 had come up
with a simple receiver that could turn electricity into sound. Others were working along the same
lines, including an Italian-American Antonio Meucci, and debate continues as to who should be
credited with inventing the telephone. However, Bell was granted a patent for the telephone on
7 March 1876 and it developed quickly. Within a year the first telephone exchange was built in
Connecticut and the Bell Telephone Company was created in 1877, with Bell the owner of a third
of the shares, quickly making him a wealthy man.
In 1880, Bell was awarded the French Volta Prize for his invention and with the money,
founded the Volta Laboratory in Washington, where he continued experiments in
communication, in medical research, and in techniques for teaching speech to the deaf, working
with Helen Keller among others. In 1885 he acquired land in Nova Scotia and established a
summer home there where he continued experiments, particularly in the field of aviation.
In 1888, Bell was one of the founding members of the National Geographic Society, and
served as its president from 1896 to 1904, also helping to establish its journal.
Bell died on 2 August 1922 at his home in Nova Scotia.

Toucans are birds that are famous for their brightly colored bills. A toucan can grow to a
length of up to 60 cm. It has short, round wings and a long tail. It's most famous feature is
its large bill. Although it seems too heavy for the bird to carry it is actually made up of light,
hollow bone. It can be seen in yellow, green, white and red or a combination of colours. The
colour of the bill helps you keep the toucans apart and it also helps scare away other birds.
Most toucans have black feathers and bright colourful spots on the chest.
Toucans eat mainly fruit, but they also like insects, snakes and frogs. Sometimes they eat
young songbirds or their eggs. A toucan grabs the food with the front part of its bill and
moves its head back so that the food goes down the throat. Toucans can be very loud birds
in the forest. They make all kinds of noises and attract other toucans so they can get to their
food.
Toucans often live together holes in trees. Sometimes they use holes that woodpeckers
built. A female toucan can lay two to four eggs that hatch 16 days later. The small toucans
have their eyes closed when they are born. Their distinctive bill is wide and short bill. The
parents care for them until they are ready to fly.
