Job Profile ISHTIAQ AHMED Working in APC R&D from December 2015

1) Raw Material Testing:-

To test all the incoming Raw Materials receive by APC and release
accordingly. These include PVC, CPVC Resins, Stabilizers,
Plasticizer, Colors, fillers, Lubricants and different Additives

These Raw Materials are divided in to two categories

 Approved and In use Raw Materials:

 New Raw Material first time introduced or the existing Material
or similar grade supplied by other manufacturer

1. To Contact to the Supplier through purchase department in case of any

Non
Conformance

2. Maintain all test Records

3. Co-ordinate with production in trouble shooting and for improving

quality.

4. Prepare work Instruction

5. Maintain Safety and Housekeeping

6. Train to new employees on instruments in use

Tests details are as follows:-

To test the compounds on following equipments

Brabender to prepare a tape or if required to run on brabende r for gelation
Two roll mill to prepare the Sheet
The different tests are conducted on the prepared sheet to evaluate the
performance of the new material to compare with standard.

These tests include the

1) Color
2) Heat stability by Metastases
3) Heat stability by oven till burn
4) Density
The Results concluded as per comparison on the Values received

 1) Contaminated Material Finalux G1 from Tawazon chemical Company
2) Calcium Carbonate giving Rough surface from Saudi Carbonate
3) Stabilizer Sag 2001 for Hard unmelted particles from Sun Ace Gulf
4) PVC Resin Norvinyl S 6261 from inovyn (Sweden) ,for Unmelted
particles
5) PVC Resins K-70 from Sabic for different Bulk density in same lot
6) Variation & deposition of Blue color on roller and Ring Cooler on
customer machine from Holliday Pigments

Previous Experience:

• Worked in Quality Control in Rowad national Plastic Co for 09 years, From

2006 to 2015

• Worked in SABIC Technical Lab. 14 years from 1992 to 2006 for PVC &
other Polymers

• Worked in Quality control Dept.in Saudi Arabian Plastic Factory 16 years

from 1976 to 1992 for PVC raw material and PVC Pipe Fittings testing
