TROPICAL WEEK TWO

Sunday  
On Sunday campers arrived and were welcomed to the Camp Spencer Tropical Vacation! The 
Superstars were tropical cooks as they prepared their own homemade lemonade for a relaxing 
end to the first day of camp! 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
  
Monday  
Monday morning was truly tropical as we hung out by the pool sipping some nice 
ice water with friends! The Superstars then practiced our target practice at archery 
where we were also able to make our own lhawaiian leis before enjoying a tasty 
taco dinner! The Monday heat was chased away by an evening thunderstorm, so 
we went to the top of the barn to explore our worm 
farm and hang out with each other before shuttling 
up to the cabins for bed.  
 

 
 
 
 

 
 
 
 

 
  
Tuesday  
 
There is no better way to spend a tropical vacation than in a swimsuit! So, Tuesday started with a 
trip to the pool with squirt guns where campers were able to use their feet to paint palm trees! 
The Superstars also enjoyed the cool water during their afternoon activity- the Slip ’n Slide and 
Splash Pad! We danced our hearts out at the camp dance and 
enjoyed a cool popsicle to

Wednesday  
Wednesday at the pool, campers made pool time a breeze by participating in making a fridge 
magnet! We then ate well at the camp picnic that was supported by our Spencer Superstars Day 
Camp program! We went on the Zipline or played some sports and games/ crafts! We had a BIG 
SUMMER game night and were able to bowl, play kerplunk, play cards, and even play connect 
four before turning in for the night on our Superstars Camp Out! 

 
 
 
 
 
 

 
 

 
  
Thursday  
Thursday morning met sleepy campers with the sweet smells of french toast and bacon! The 
Superstars loaded the train and had a blast at pool time with the super soakers and beach balls! 
We relaxed on our way to the pond on a nature train ride. We then went fishing, made crafts, and 
enjoyed walking at the pond. Thursday evening we enjoyed a hayride and a performance from 
Bernie on the guitar.

The Princess and the Peg Leg!

Once there was a beautiful young princess. She was tall and thin. Also her hair 
was long and blonde. And she was wearing a red dress. And her name was 
Jess. One day as princess Jess was riding her magical horse. When an evil 
dragon bit her leg right off. Luckily wizard Maddy made a magical peg leg and 
saved princess Jess. And they all lived happily ever after. The End! 
 

 
  
Friday  
After breakfast the Superstars went to the Splash Pad where they Tye-Dyed a Camp Spencer 
Tropical bandana. The Superstars then spent time taking turns hitting a pineapple pinata before 
leaving their tropical paradise.

Spencer Superstars:​ D
​ ay Camp Edition! 

I love the splash pad because it feels good on my body. I imagine that I am a fish in the 
sea. It is really nice to swim everyday at the swimming pool. I love the vortex. I also love to 
swim laps. I think Miss Jane is very nice and I like the projects that she helps us make. My 
favorite is the journal. I love the slip and slide because I can go fast. I prefer the train to 
train the golf car (Train Spencer) because I can be with more friends. It is relaxing to ride 
through the woods. I am happy to be at camp with my friends. Daniel is my friend from last 
year. He is getting married next week to my friend Taylor. - Matt R 

This place is like never before because I can 

communicate with my friends. I have been having 
the best time! I can finally go to every activity. I’m 
loving the summer, y friends, and really 
everything. My brother also gets to complete his 
internship this summer. - Ryan K.  

I liked going swimming. The water felt 

good because it was hot outside. The 
splash pad is cool. I go under the 
umbrella. My friends like it too!
