2019, voted to retain discrimina-
tory language regarding human
sexuality in our governing docu-
ment, The Discipline of the
United Methodist Church. This
discriminatory language specifi-
cally prohibits the performance
of same gender marriages in our
church and by our pastor and
prohibits the ordination of self-
avowed practicing homosexual
clergy. Penalties against pas-
tors who perform same gender
marriages were also increased.
Those actions were reviewed and
affirmed by the Judicial Council,
vice and fellowship and sharing
the love of Christ with all.
