1st Assignment of Drainage (to be submitted by 29 March 2019)

A drainage area is shown in Figure 1 below with land surface cover as presented in Table 1. The
slope of A-B = 0.0005; V in the channel = (0.5X) m/sec; channel’s slope = 0.0004. Using the
rainfall data shown in Table 2, calculate the design discharge using 5 years return period design
rainfall determined by Log Pearson Type II probability distribution (for those who have odd
number of NIM) or Gumbel probability distribution (for those who have even number of NIM).
