CONCLUSION
Asymmetry in product packaging leads to various negative experiences of the consumers. This
ultimately ruins the image of the product, leading to major decline in sales of the product. From
our survey it has been found that ‘Biscuit’ and ‘chips’ are the products where respondents had
the most deceiving, misleading in appeal, topi package experience. Therefore, manufacturers of
biscuits and chips should take appropriate measures to remove the asymmetry in product
packaging features. Also manufacturers must avoid deceptive or gross mismatch packaging,
rather cushioning and damage resistant packaging must be used along with proper concern about
the quality of the product.

From the survey it has also been found that the most common sources through which the
respondents got to know about the products for the first time was online apps/ TV/ SMS. Such
medium should also act responsibly before promoting any product to avoid any kind of negative
experience of the consumers.
