Answer the following statement based on your understanding and learning about the topic
discussed.
1. Think of a breadbasket exported to the U.S. Differentiate the bread basket’s core
product from the actual augmented product.
Breadbasket is also called as supplier or a region that produces food or living in a
country. If I think of a breadbasket exported to United States are the raw materials of
Apple products (Apple is originated from U.S.) imported from China. In this case the
breadbasket of Apple products is China which has been the supplier for the most parts for
Apple products and some already made products. It is beyond some consumers’
knowledge that most of the parts of Apple products are manufactured or made and
imported from China. The iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch are still predominantly
manufactured in China and exported to the U.S. Apple's choice to outsource production
to China is primarily motivated by who can produce the greatest number of Apple goods
in the quickest length of time. This also ensured that China could stay flexible and
quickly react to Apple's demands. According to a story, an Apple official reportedly
indicated that the US no longer has the employees with the necessary expertise and it
offers a cheaper price because of China’s high efficiency.
In this case, the breadbasket’s core product or benefit that Apple US gets are they
can get a quality of products made by China for a cheaper price and they can meet the
demands of the company’s hundreds and thousands of consumers. And the augmented
product or benefit Apple U.S. can get is the mutually beneficial relationship with China
as their manufacturer. With a beneficial relationship, China could offer more to quality
products to Apple Company because they trust each other for the long run already.
3. If you have an idea on a product for export, describe how you would go about
developing it.
If I have an idea on a product for export, I will start developing it by a product export
plan. An export plan can assist me comprehend the facts, restrictions, and objectives
surrounding my worldwide endeavor. I can use it to set precise goals, determine
implementation timelines, and track my progress. It can also encourage me or my team to
achieve our goals. My primary step for developing my export is first, I will identify the
product or service to be exported and evaluate its export prospects. Second, I will do
market research on the target markets. Third, I will decide on a price approach for the
product or service. Finally, I will devise a plan for locating buyers. But those doesn’t
finalize my plan for developing my products for export. I’ll have to consider things such
as to adapt my goods in each international market I intend to enter to fit government
restrictions, local conditions, or client preferences. One example of adapting to local
restrictions is the alteration of product labeling and packaging. Market research and
communication with overseas partners, purchasers, and consumers should provide my
organization with a notion of what items may be marketed and where they can be sold.
Before the sale may take place, my business may need to adapt a certain product to meet
consumer preferences or legal restrictions specific to the overseas destination.
4. Look for the products which are produced and successfully marketed locally. Then,
think of the foreign market where you want to send the items to.
If I were to send products that are locally produced and successfully marketed in our
country, I would send products made out of abaca. I will send these items in United
States. Based on may research United States is the country that has the largest number of
plastic waste as of today. Our products made out of Abaca will be a big help for them to
lessen the use of plastic. A plant that is abundant in the Philippines might help alleviate
plastic waste in the United States while also boosting climate protection and the transition
to a circular economy. Abaca is often regarded as a sustainable, ecologically friendly
fabric with the potential to empower people. Many products can be created from Abaca,
and procedures based on this substance have been used extensively since then. The usage
of Abaca has also been ubiquitous, and it has quickly become a source of wealth for
many Filipino households throughout the Philippines, as well as benefiting other
countries. It has been used for a marine cordage because it is proven to withstand under
water. It has been famous for creating hats, decorations, ornaments and sculptures. Abaca
can also produce fiber that can make rugs, mats, linen, handbags and such. Surprisingly,
abaca may also be used in cosmetics. Its enzymes are utilized in the production of organic
therapeutic skin care products including as soaps, face creams, and body lotions.
Philippines can produce more income if they keep on improving exporting things like
this.
