1. Wiring operation
1.1 Power wiring
1) 3 phase 4 line Power Supply: Connect to 1st input of main power breaker
(NFB1).
2) Motor: Connect to U, V, W terminal of controller.
3) Power supply earth and motor earth: Connect to earth terminal of the
controller.
4) Connect to additional power supply L1, L2 for car light.

Caution)
- Make sure that NFB1 (Main power breaker) must be OFF before connection.
- Make sure that N phase must be connected because 3 phase 4 line power
supply is used.
- If the job site is not available to use N phase, additional transformer is
needed. Contact to Samil‟s service department.
- If building‟s electrical short breaker is used, use 3 phase 4 line type short
breaker.
- If 3 phase power input is connected to motor‟s connecting terminal (U, V,
W), inverter will be damaged.

1.2 Safety line connection of machine room

1) Governor switch: Connect to terminal GOV1, GOV2 of TB1 in KEMR-
100LZ board.
2) Motor thermistor(No-voltage B contact): Connect to terminal TH1, TH2 of
TB1 in KEMR-100LZ. (If motor thermistor is not no-voltage B contact spec.,
connect to terminals TH1, TH2 to be common.)

Caution)
If safety line is connected normally, LED1(GOV) and LED2(TH) lamp is
turned ON for checking operation of KEMR-100LZ board‟s safety line.

9. Calibration
9.1 Check points before calibration
1) Plates for every floor (recommendation: 200mm), IUS, IDS, DZONE(if used)
should be installed, and IUS should be ON first during UP operation.
2) Limit switches (UL, USL, DL, DSL and etc.) should be installed and certainly
checked whether these normally operate at right position during inspection
operation.
3) UL and DL should be installed not to be inputted on the highest and lowest
level.
4) Check door open, close operation is normal.

9.2 Do the calibration

1) Calibration is able to be started at any floor.
2) When calibration starts, CAR will move to lowest floor which has DL switch.
3) Lift will move from DL to highest floor which has UL SW with calibration
speed
4) When UL is inputted, then stop it, and store the calibration data in the memory.

- When inductor switches are used as B contact.
Change the contact at SETUP  4. Set System  6. Input Type MCB
3) In the case of the error regarding inductor
- Check the inductor switches‟ operation and installation state.
- Check the state of plate installation.

4) In the case of Calibration Fail error,

- Check the input and operation state of limit switch DL, DSL, USL, UL.
- Check the input and operation state of inductor IUS, IDS, DZONE.
5) If lift stops without any operation after calibration,
- Check the input state of Car Door, Hall Door, DCL SW
- If PKS(parking) or Recall(BS1) SW is operated, cancel it.

10. PPM Calibration

Based on recorded data from calibration and current acceleration/deceleration curve
setting, with automatically measured optimal travel distance, speed and deceleration
distance will be measured automatically. So, direct operation is possible without
adjusting of deceleration distance and etc.

10.1 Carrying-out of PPM Calibration

1) Turn OFF Dip SW7-1, 2, 3 in KMCB-4000LZi board.
2) Set up the variable menu to be “DSW” to check Dip SW setting state.
3) Set up the value of creep section distance (default value: 100mm)

4) Carrying-out of PPM Calibration

 

- While elevator moves up to lowest floor DL, it passes through following steps
based on DL [acceleration → constant speed → deceleration → creep → stop].
- According to floor altitude, operation pattern, speed, and deceleration speed are
decided by repeated above operation steps several times.
5) Set up the Dip SW7 according to the operation pattern indicated on variable
menu “DSW”.

10.2 Troubleshooting and Notice for PPM Calibration

1) If following clauses are changed, PPM Calibration should be carried out again.
- When CPM0 ~ CPM14, CPM16 values were changed,
- When calibration was carried out again,
- When inductor SW or plate position was changed,
- When limit SW position was changed,
2) If the creep distance is long after PPM Calibration, adjust PPM13 value again.
3) If error occurs when carrying-out forced deceleration during PPM Calibration,
adjust the value of CPM16 to be higher.
4) Contact to Samil Eltec when NO Input HDSL or HUSL error occurs.
5) If PPM Calibration function is used, Dip SW7-operation pattern, Speed rpm and
deceleration distance should be set up personally.
6) The way to verify PPM Calibration‟s successful completion.
-If the value of View → Distance → Limit SW Recommend is 0, it means PPM
Calibration was failed. It should be done again.
