Research participants

The participants of this qualitative research in online pornography addiction

are the Senior High School Students. We conducted this study using
questionnaire and unstructured interviewing techniques such as asking open-
minded question to the participants about their experiences and they answered
each interview base on their experienced. Some of them answered that the
addiction of online pornography can affect the studies of the students. Some of
them answered that because of boredom and curiosity they watched online
pornography to entertain their selves. Some of them give clues on how to avoid
online pornography addiction. Some of our participants answered that the effect
of constantly watching online pornography can cause improper behavior and
affects their studies. Before we conduct our interview we asked our participants
to sign a consent form.

Purposely sampling was used for the recruitment of participants for this study.
Purposely sampling is commonly used in qualitative research. It involves
selecting research participants according to the needs of the study (Benoot C,
Hannes K, Biljen J, 2016) the researcher chosen a mixed purposeful sampling,
combining three different strategies that we considered the most consistent with
our research purpose: intensity sampling, maximum variation sampling and
confirming/disconfirming case sampling. Which we use to gather information
about the participants views and perspective in the world.
