Aloha B4 Ohana,
Welcome to 4th grade! I am extremely thrilled to begin another school year! This
will be my 9th year at Wai’alae. I’ve taught Special Education, Grade 2, and Grade
4. I am looking forward to getting to know your child and family better as the
school year progresses.
4th grade will be an exciting, adventurous and exploratory year. My goals
are to provide your child with opportunities to:
* develop and nurture their self-confidence in a safe, supportive
environment.
* improve academically and socially and monitor progress together.
* self-monitor and feel in control of their academic learning journey
To help support your child, please review our classroom guide so you can
have an understanding of B4 classroom expectations and routines. You can also
check their STAR Binder for mail and possible homefun assignments at your
convenience. Talk with your child about their school day. Making time and creating
opportunities for your child to discuss their school day will help them reflect and
help their learning “stick” better.
Communication between you, your child, and myself will be an important tool
to help your child succeed! I will communicate primarily through email (daily,
weekly, or monthly as needed) and text messages, but may also include notes,
telephone calls, meetings and conferences. If at any time throughout the school
year you have any questions or concerns, p lease do not hesitate
to contact me. More information will be provided at Open House,
Tuesday, August 13 4:30- 5:30.
Again, welcome to grade 4! I can’t wait to see how this
amazing year will unfold! Go TEAM!
Mahalo,
