This Department is examining the proposal for amendment to the Recruitment Rules
for the post of Radiographer/X-ray Technician in the Central Government Health Scheme
(CGHS). Accordingly, a draft Recruitment Rules have been prepared and a copy of the same is
enclosed.

The comments of the stakeholders are invited in the matter. The comments may be
furnished within 30 days from the placing on the website to the Under Secretary (Admn.),

G.S.R. - ln exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution and in
supersession of the central Government Health scheme organisation outside oelhi {Radio8rapher)
Recruitment Rules, 1986 Central Government Health Scheme (Class_ lll, para_ medical and Seneral
catetories of posts ) Recn itment Rules, 1993, in so far as they relates to the post of Radiographer/X-ray
Technician, except as respect things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the
President hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of
Radiographer/X-ray Technician in the Central Government Health Scheme, Ministry of Health & Family
welfare, namelyi

1. Short title and commencement:- {1)

These rules may be called the central Government
Health Scheme Organisation, Radiographer/x-rayTechnician Recruitment Rules, 2018

12) They shall come into force on the date of publication in the official Gazette.

2. Number of posts, classificatlon and level in the p.y matrixr The number of the said post, its
classification and levelin the pay matrix thereto shall be as specified in column (2)to (4) ofthe Schedule
annexed to these rules.

3. Method of recruitment, a8e limit, qualificatlons etc. :_ The method of recruitment to the said
post, age limit, qualifications and other matters relatinE to the said post shall be as specified in columns
(5)to (12)ofthe said schedule.
4. Dlsqualification r No person,

(a) who has entered into or contracted a mardage with a person having a spouse livingj or
(b) who, having a spouse livinS, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person

shall be eligible for appointment to the said post.

Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such a marriage is permissible
under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there
are otherErounds fordoing so exempt any person from the operation ofthis rule.

5. Power to relaxr Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is neces5ary or
expedient to do so, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing and in consultation with
Union Public SeNice Commission, relax any of the provisions ofthese rules with respect to any class or
catetory of Persons.
6. SavinS :- Nothing in these rules shall affect reseNation, relaxation of a8e-limit and other
concession requlred to be provided forthe Scheduled Castes. the Scheduled Tribes, the Other Backward
classes, the Ex-servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued
by the Central Government from time to time in this regard
