My Father Goes to Court

 God created us all the same, whether you are born wealthy or
not. No individual is greater than the other, or less than the rest.
Upon reading the story “My Father Goes to Court”, I had felt
two types of emotions. One, I felt furious because of the rich
family. Two, I felt admiration towards the less fortunate clan.
As a human being, it is common to receive discrimination in
this world. Even though the story was set in older times, I was
amazed with it.
If I were a family member of the wealthy family, I would spread
love inside and outside of our home, because I want to live a
joyous and peaceful life. It’s also because I want to gain more true
friends, especially my neighbors. This is because if ever there is
an emergency regarding my family or our house, our good
neighbors will be able to lend us a helping hand.
Based on my experience, I can say that no man is an island.
Why so? It is because we cannot live with power and money
alone. Just like with what happened to the rich family; they all got
ill even though they had plenty of cash. They still needed
someone to cure them such as a doctor. Money cannot cure them
alone in any way.
They also needed friends to ask for some advice on what they
should and shouldn’t do.
I also observed that this story portrays another saying:
laughter is a good, or perhaps the best medicine. The poor family
-despite going through poverty- lived happy and healthy. They are
satisfied of whatever they had.
When they had attended the court, they all faced the challenge
with confidence and bravery, particularly the narrator’s father. He
was not only a strong man, but a determined one, that is. He was
a good father to his children, and a loving husband to his wife.
We, as role models to our fellow employees in our beloved
company, -MIAA- must be courageous enough to face the harsh
realities of life, especially in making decisions. We must be firm in
everything, so that good progress and success will be achieved.
Just like in taking our course -a Masteral in Business
Administration.
