LAW OF ONERSIA

was best explained by Sir Isaac Newton in his first law of motion. Basically, the law of
motion is that an object at rest stays at rest and an object continues in motion until an
external force acts on it.

LAW OF ACCELERATION

In the world of introductory physics, Newton's second law is one of the most important laws
you'll learn. It's used in almost every chapter of every physics textbook, so it's important to
master this law as soon as possible.

We know objects can only accelerate if there are forces on the object. Newton's second law tells
us exactly how much an object will accelerate for a given net force.

\Large a=\dfrac{\Sigma F}{m}a=mΣF

To be clear, aaa is the acceleration of the object, \Sigma FΣF is the net force on the object,
and mmm is the mass of the object.

FORCE AND MASS

The net force on an object is equal to the mass of the object multiplied by the acceleration of

the object

FRICTION

is the force resisting the relative motion of solid surfaces, fluid layers, and material elements

sliding against each other. There are several types offriction: Dry friction is a force that

opposes the relative lateral motion of two solid surfaces in contact.

TYPE OF FRICTION

1 STATIC FRICTION

is a force that keeps an object at rest. It must be overcome to start moving the object. Once an

object is in motion, it experiences kinetic friction. If a small amount of force is applied to an

object, thestatic friction has an equal magnitude in the opposite direction.

2.KINETIC FRICTION

is a force that acts between moving surfaces. An object that is being moved over a surface will

experience a force in the opposite direction as its movement. The magnitude of the force

depends on the coefficient of kinetic friction between the two kinds of material.

3.ROLLING FRICTION

sometimes called rolling friction or rolling drag, is the force resisting the motion when a body

(such as a ball, tire, or wheel) rolls on a surface.

4.FLUID FRICTION OR DRAGFRITION FORCE

Drag, also known as Skin Friction Drag, is drag caused by the friction of afluid against the
surface of an object that is moving through it. It is directly proportional to the area of the surface
in contact with the fluid and increases with the square of the velocity.
