For pipe piles there are two main methods of manufacture. For simplicity we
have only shown the main forming processes excluding hydrostatic testing as
this is not required in pipe piles. We are not showing end preparation or final
inspection.

Manufacturing Standards
MANUFACTURING STANDARDS 19
For Pacific markets Mill-Pro offers pipe in compliance with AS 1579 and
produced in mills certified to AS/NZS/ISO9001 and API 5L PSL 1 & 2.
The use of non-standard sizes for structural piles has become common in
the Australian and Pacific markets, unlike pipelines which are required to be
standardised for future connection.

Coatings
COATINGS 26 / 29
Mill-Pro partnered with coating applicator LONG KEY and the leading coating
suppliers to develop a unique automatically applied ultra high build epoxy
coating system for marine piles.
With over five years’ supply to major resource projects in Australia, the system
is well proven in meeting schedule regardless of climatic conditions and
delivering a significantly superior coating compared to manual application.
Ultra high build coatings can be manually applied, however when combined
with the automatic application process significant additional benefits are
