Art: Reflection Paper

For some people, art is just a simple concept  a mere act of applying paint on a
canvas or the act of sculpting a marble. When people talk about art, the first thing that
usually pops their mind is the finished output itself. Well, it’s not completely wrong to think of
art in that way, but we should also take into consideration to pose questions such as 
what does this artwork mean? What is the artist trying to convey?

Being able to critique an art rather than being mere spectators would result to a
meaningful appreciation of art. I have learned that there so much more art than its process
and end product, specifically I have gained knowledge on the following  the forms, the
effect and the benefits of art.

I have learned that engaging yourself in art changes and improves the function of
your brain. Empathy is considered as one of art’s superpower, by definition empathy is being
able to put yourself in the shoes of another person. Empathy contributes to the development
of skills such as logic. The ability to empathize brings out mental health and social benefits

In conclusion, art is a complex concept that transcends the process of doing an art
and its end product.
