Problem Q.1: Taylor series. (6+5+4=15 points)

A Taylor series expansion of a function f (x) developed at c is given by

f (k) (c)
(x − c)k .
X
f (x) =
k=0 k!

(a) Compute the Taylor series expansion for f (x) = sin x developed at c = π.
(b) Compute the radius of convergence of the Taylor series derived in (a), i.e., those
values for which the derived Taylor series represents the function f (x) = sin x.
(c) Find an (as small as possible) upper bound for the error when truncating the
Taylor series after the quadratic term and evaluating the truncated Taylor series
at x = π2 .
