 Year of Completion: 2012
 TGE Project Number: 5059 Zhejiang LNG Receiving Terminal Project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

 LNG Storage Tank:

The scope of work defines three 160,000m3 full containment LNG storage tanks. The primary standard
of LNG Tanks shall be EN14620-2006 for design, manufacture, inspection and testing, drying, purging
and cool down. The main features of the LNG storage tanks are listed as below:
- Piling and Foundation
- A concrete outer tank consisting of a reinforced concrete base slab, a post tensioned concrete
wall connected rigidly to the slab, and a reinforced concrete roof, rigidly connected to the wall.
The LNG storage tanks shall be elevated base slab foundation.
- A carbon steel liner covering all inside surfaces of the concrete outer tank and acting as a va-
pour barrier. The roof liner is the formwork for the roof concrete and may act as a composite
structure with the reinforced concrete roof.
- A 9% nickel steel open top inner tank
- A thermal protection system (TPS) acting as Thermal Corner Protection System, it includes insula-
tion as Foam Glass Blocks, covered by a 9% nickel steel shell . The top of the TPS shall be anc-

steel inner tank shell and the concrete outer tank, insulation on the suspended deck and insula-
tion of the roof penetrations and internal piping.
- A set of nozzles and relevant internal piping
- Internal access and structural steel works
- External access and structural steel works including roof platform
- External piping on the tank roof and wall with its supports
- Tank instrumentation for level, pressure and temperature recording, leak detection, and cool-
down control, and any other tank instrumentation specified.
- Safety valves for pressure and vacuum protection, with interlocked isolating valves and tail pipes.
- A settlement monitoring system for the outer tank
- Electrical equipment
- Submerged pumps
