Example
Lets consider a game; a dice is rolled, if the score is 1 or 2,
player A gives player B $1, if the score is 5 or 6, player B
gives player A $1. If the random variable X is defined as,
the gain of player A, then write the pmf of X.

Example
Drawing two balls with replacement from a basket
containing 12 red, 4 blue and 4 green balls.

Suppose, X is defined as; X: total number of red balls

obtained, then find pmf of X.

Example
A salesman has scheduled two appointments to sale
encyclopedias. His first appointment will lead to a sale
with pr 0.3 and his second sale will lead independently to
a sale with pr 0.6. Any sale made is equally likely to be
either for the deluxe model, which cost Rs 1000 or the
standard model with cost Rs 500. Determine the pmf of
X, the Rs vale of all the sales.
