Kris Peppels from Boone, Iowa won 50,000 dollars playing the Iowa Lottery
Silverado five dollar scratch game.

Peppels, who has lived in Boone for around 40 years, considers herself to be an
avid player of the Iowa Lottery.

“That morning [July, 5th] when I scratched it was like five in the morning
because I do daycare,” said Peppels. “I was just shaking I wanted to call my
brother, my sister, it was too early to call anybody but I was excited.”

Peppels was having a lucky couple of months as she won 736 dollars the night
before after hitting triple sevens on a quarter slot machine at the casino.

Two months earlier Peppels won 500 dollars twice in span of a week by playing
the lottery.

Peppels plans on taking the money and using it to take her family for a weekend
trip to the Omaha Zoo. The rest she plans on putting into her retirement.

Some of the family she is taking to the zoo with her winnings include her son
and his wife. According to Peppels, her son and his wife won a million dollars
playing the lottery around 15 years ago.

The Peppels family hope their good fortune can continue.
