ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
in Comfort Rooms
I. Introduction

“Para sa Bata, para sa Bayan” is a famous line from the Department of Education. This line says
it all. It is the reason why the teaching and non-teaching staff of every school, the parents, the community
and all the stakeholders are joining hands together for the betterment of the school, all for the sake of
the students. This has been the reason why the needed facilities of every student is the utmost goal to be
prepared of and be rendered to them before the beginning of the school year. Thus, everyone from the
community especially the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school has checked every corner of the
school, most especially the damages, for it to be given an appropriate action before the classes start.

II. Findings/ Suggestions

The school staff has given specific task to do/check before work starts. In the comfort rooms, the
assigned group has found out that there are seven (7) public comfort rooms intended for all graders, this
includes one from senior high school department. The group labeled the comfort rooms from CR 1 to 7.
CR 1 is found at the back part of the school near the garbage pit, CR 2 is just beside section Daisy room,
CR 3 which is a side by side comfort room for females is just beside section Cattleya room, CR 4 is found
at the back of Mendoza Building, CR 5 is the comfort room constructed by the PTA Officers (S.Y. 2017-
2018), CR 6 is at the PPP Building and lastly, CR 7 which is in Senior High School Department. Three (3)
from which is considered as functional because it used by the students, namely: CR 3, CR 5 and CR 7. Four
(4) of which is not functional because, CR 2 has been closed due to its cracked bowl, misused bowls
dumped with stones, cloth, etc., CR 1, CR 4 and CR 6 has been closed and used as a storage for different
things like sacks with papers, destroyed chairs, destroyed cabinets and more. Another problem checked
is that two (2) septic tanks (one from the back of JICA Building and another one from senior high school
department) create awful smell most especially during the rainy days. This might be because the septic
tank is lower than the land which water from rain are stock on it creating a smelly odor. Thus, the group
believes that these problems affect their learning. It needs immediate action as to comfort rooms are one
of the important facilities to be ready for use because it is part of students’ hygiene.
It is then a call for everybody to: 1. Reopen the closed comfort rooms and let it be cleaned for the
students to utilize it, 2. Repair and repaint the comfort rooms that needs to be repaired and repainted,
3. post additional signage for the students to be reminded every time of the proper use of comfort room
(that until they get used to it), 4. reconstruct the septic tanks to avoid awful smell that is affecting the
learners.

III. Work Done/ Nature of Improvement/ Percentage of Accomplishment/Remarks

The assigned group believed that “All things are possible.” Just like the other groups with specific
assignments, the group has sought for help to make everything be prepared before the beginning of the
school year. The following are the accomplishments:
CR 1, CR 4 and CR 6 – All the dumped and stored paraphernalia were removed and cleaned for
maximum utilization of the comfort rooms.
CR 2 – The destroyed bowls were replaced and at the same time it was cleaned. The outside walls
were repainted and broken windows were replaced with grills, too.
CR 5 and CR 7 – It was cleaned and functional to students.
Septic tank in senior high school were reconstructed, adding two blocks higher than the first
construction. The expenses for reconstruction was utilized from the Batch 2019-2020 Graduates as
donation to school.
Septic tank at the back of JICA building has been the subject for discussion/planning.
A total of 75% is percentage of accomplished work in repairing, repainting, replacing,
reconstructing, cleaning of comfort rooms and septic tanks.
Maintaining the cleanliness of comfort rooms makes it last for years. As what they have said, “do
everything religiously”.
