1. INTRODUCTION
 This Clarification describes specification and standard for post-tensioning operations,
namely tendon installation, stressing and grouting of the tendons.
 The anchorage type, location and stressing sequence should follow the description
shown on the shop drawings or specification.
 If any problem or comment arising, please confirm to the QA/QC department engineer
and technical department engineer.

2. WORKDESCRIPTION
2.1 Some specifications

2.2 Fabrication
 After having design drawing. Technical Department will calculate and issue list of
cutting cable ; HPDE duct for sub-construct to cut
 After cutting, tendon must be marked name and rolled then put on warehouse to avoid
soil and water make it rusty.
 HDPE duct, length of Tendons must be cut following data issued from technical
Department or construction department

2.3 Installation
 Donot allow putting tendons on ground without some thing to protect dirty
 At duct connection, Plastic tape use 2.5-3 circles for one position except some case
must use more to ensure quality

 Before installation, direction of cable must be marked on platform. Name of tendon

also wrote down on the platform
 After put ducts and tendons, level of ducts also must be wrote down on the platform.
 Type of bar chair must follow name that was marked
 At real site, sometimes cable is blocked by reinforcement or opening So, Engineer from
sub-constructor must contact CSCC’s Engineer to solve it.
 During installing cable, post-tension engineer must also refer to structural drawing or
cooperate with structural engineer to avoid any repair
 During installation, workers don’t walk on duct
 Before casting concrete, head of cable that is out of head must be protect

2.4 Stressing
 Before stressing, tendons must be clean, equipment must be check and maintenance
 Make sure true value of pressure during stressing specially at 10% and 103%
 Sub-constructor only is cut cable when CSCC’s engineer allow.
 Sequence of stressing tendon must follow as a figure below

2.5 Grouting (bơm vữa)

 Before grouting, duct must be clean by air. Some cases can use water to check or clearn
but after using water, air must be use to dry duct. Grouting ratio, water, cement,.. must be
ready,
 Volume of cement is mixed enough for time of grouting
 After grouting, hole of live head must be blocked
