Syllabus Analysis Commented [1]: Where is your MLA heading?

The most interesting parts of the syllabus are the general objectives and the specific

objectives. Two examples stated by the syllabus in the general objectives section are that the

reader must “analyze selected themes…” and “perform close readings of texts to uncover

multiple meanings.” These examples clearly illustrate the importance of the student’s Commented [2]: No color coded

improvement and denote the complexity and thought put into the making of the syllabus.

Furthermore, the syllabus gives another section which specifically state what the professor wants

the reader to improve. These specific objectives indicate in a more detailed way what aspects of

a student are bound to improve, for instance, write with “fluency.” Commented [3]: Either start a new sentence here or
use semicolon :)
