Scale and print a drawing

1. Open Assignment2.dwg
2. Open Assignment1.dwg and Copy the Frame.
3. Go to menu bar window select Assignment2.dwg
4. Paste the Frame to Assignment2.dwg (DO NOT LEFT CLICK to fix the location of
the Frame). In command window, when asking to specify insertion point, type scale
and 2 (This meaning that you have scaled the frame up to 2 in order to enable
to object drawing fit into the frame).
5. Find a good position and left click to fix the position of the frame.
6. Now your object drawing is well fitting into the Frame.
7. Since in step 4 you have scaled the frame up to 2, the size of the frame is no longer in
A4 size. In order to plot the drawing into A4 paper, it is desired to scale the entire
drawing to 1:2. Therefore, the Scale in the Frame has to be changed to 1:2.
8. Go to file Plot, select your printer, set paper size to A4 and change drawing
orientation to Landscape.
9. Select Window in Plot area, then click on lower left corner of the frame as first point
and upper right corner as the second point (refer to the figure in the next page). After
that, check center the plot.
10. In the Plot scale, select Custom and set the scale as 1:2 (follow the scale in step 7).
11. Click preview to ensure the drawing is well fitted and click Ok to print.

Notice that the dimensions value stated in the printed drawing are same with the artifact
dimensions. However, if you use ruler to measure the printed object, the dimension that
you ll get will be equal to artifact × scale.
