The poem is about feeling alone even when surrounded by others. While friends come and go, true companionship leaves one feeling empty. Dark times can feel crushing and isolating, but there is light to be found within oneself through hope and reflection. Ultimately, we are never truly alone so long as we remember the connections to loved ones and look inside for strength.

Paper Alone one is, What shall he quiz. For hope he seeks, But for sorrow he’s weak.
He must have lost,
For a cost. Friends come and go, But when you squeeze they turn to dough. You are Alone, From tone to bone.
Cruel is this world.
Lost in twist and turns, And scorches our burns. Death is a voice, That asks a choice. For if you receive, Then you are to believe. And so you are Alone, Like a deserted cone.
But light is in the dark,
Though there is no dark in light. Like a beaver eats bark, But the bark doesn't bite.
For hope you seek,
Then hope you will find in your peek. So Alone you seem, But together you beem. So Alone you are not, So you won't be caught. Because you thought you were alone, But you were in your dome. Over those you love, You are not Alone but tis above.
