running or walking together with
other women can help raise
awareness about the struggles
they have to wage around the
world. Find out if a walk on a
bridge has been organized on
that day. The non-profit
organization Women for
Women International is
responsible for bridging around
the world, from Canada to
China. Its objective is to raise
awareness about what women
survivors of war face on a daily
basis. Find out if an event like
this will take place in your area.
Why it is a
special International Women's Day is
celebration. March 8 and is a symbol of the
struggle that women throughout
the world have had in order to
obtain equality and rights. It is
also a reminder of how much
remains to be done. There are
some things you can do to
celebrate this important day.
Educate yourself by learning
more about women and their
struggles around the world, get
involved politically by donating
to an organization that supports
women and uses social
networks to raise awareness
about the problems they face.
Support the women in your life
and let them know how much
they mean to you.
