Reading Comprehension

Read the story and number the pictures in the correct order.

Haris came from a wealthy family. He was humble and kind-hearted. One day, he read
about an orphanage which needed money. He asked his mother if she could donate to the
orphanage. Haris’ mother agreed to donate. His father too agreed to donate some money.
Haris then took out all the money from his coin box to donate to the orphanage.

The next day, Haris’ parents took him to the orphanage. He gave the money to Mr
James, the person-in-charge. Mr James thanked him for the donation. Haris and his
parents then spent time at the orphanage. Haris felt sorry for the orphans as they had
little to eat and hardly any books or toys. He decided to donate more money.

The day after visiting the orphanage, Haris went and met with his headmaster. He
asked him if they could have a bazaar to collect money for the orphans. The headmaster
agreed. Haris, together with a few other students and teachers, organised a charity
bazaar. They sold handmade goods, fresh flowers, home-baked snacks, second-hand toys
and other goods. The bazaar was open to the public. It was a huge success. All the money
collected was given to the orphanage.
