The document proposes an RFID payment system for VIT campus cabs to make payments more convenient and efficient. It suggests students can pay for cab rides using their ID cards deposited with a fixed amount. Each ride of Rs. 15 would be deducted from the balance and up to three rides can be taken with a negative balance. If the balance is exhausted, additional charges of Rs. 5 will apply for further rides. The key components of an RFID system include RFID tags on ID cards, readers to communicate with tags, and a processor to receive data from readers and process payments.

After depositing the fixed amount in account, for each fare Rs15/- will be deducted. • This method also helps in emergency travelling. In case the account goes dry, the balance can be deducted to –ve 15 for first 3 fares. • Then multiples of rs5 will be charged extra when all the 3 emergency fare are exhausted. Components Of A RFID System: - A RFID tag: It consists of a silicon microchip attached to a small antenna and mounted on a substrate and encapsulated in different materials like plastic or glass veil and with an adhesive on the back side to be attached to objects. A reader: It consists of a scanner with antennas to transmit and receive signals and is responsible for communication with the tag and receives the information from the tag. A Processor or a Controller: It can be a host computer with a Microprocessor or a microcontroller which receives the reader input and process the data. References :- • Currently RFID payments are used in Metro Railways.
• They also included in some new models of mobile phones.
• Now-a-days some newly featured ATM cards are also included with RFID.
• Water ATM system also provides way to pay with RFID for regular customers. Thanking You !!
